Rays optioned INF/OF Stephen Vogt to Triple-A Durham.
Vogt was hitless in 13 at-bats during his short stint with the Rays. He'll probably get another shot at some point this season.

Stephen Vogt went 0-for-4 as Tampa Bay's DH on Friday and is 0-for-12 since being called up.
Vogt will head back to Triple-A once B.J. Upton is ready to come off the disabled list. He's running out of time to make a positive impression.

Stephen Vogt will serve as the Rays' designated hitter for Wednesday's game against the Tigers.
Luke Scott remains out of the lineup with a hamstring injury, so Vogt will make his first start of the season. The 27-year-old is 0-for-4 with a strikeout thus far.

Rays recalled C Stephen Vogt from Triple-A Durham.
Vogt will open the regular season on the Rays' Opening Day roster, serving as a backup to starting catcher Jose Molina. The 27-year-old won't carry any fantasy value.

Stephen Vogt went 3-for-3 with a two-run triple Wednesday in the Rays' 4-0 win over the Yankees.
Vogt is off to a 6-for-11 start this spring, and it will be interesting to see if he can work his way into the catcher competition for the Rays. He was added to the 40-man roster after last season, but he's not a pure catcher, having played more left field than anything else during his minor league career. He was expected to continue working on his catching in Triple-A at the beginning of the year.

Rays purchased the contract of C Stephen Vogt from Triple-A Durham.
Vogt, 27, batted .298/.335/.494 with 17 homers, 105 RBI and an .829 OPS over 558 plate appearances this season between Double- and Triple-A. He's a little old to be considered a prospect, but he does have experience at first base and in the corner outfield positions. It's possible the Rays think he could develop as a utility man.
