Rays purchased the contract of C Stephen Vogt from Triple-A Durham. Vogt, 27, batted .298/.335/.494 with 17 homers, 105 RBI and an .829 OPS over 558 plate appearances this season between Double- and Triple-A. He's a little old to be considered a prospect, but he does have experience at first base and in the corner outfield positions. It's possible the Rays think he could develop as a utility man.
