Stephen Pryor picked up his third win since joining the Mariners by getting two outs Wednesday against the Indians. Pryor has made just 13 appearances, all in relief, for Seattle, but he's been in the right place at the right time so far. In 13 major league innings, he's allowed three runs, all of them coming on solo homers.

Stephen Pryor (groin) played long toss from up to 110 feet Tuesday. It's his first bit of throwing since landing on the DL with a strained left groin muscle. The Mariners haven't set a timetable for him, but Pryor seems likely to return sometime around the All-Star break if all goes well.

An MRI on Stephen Pryor's groin has revealed only a minor strain. It's good news for the Mariners, as he's expected to miss only three weeks. "I'll start playing catch Monday," said the hard-throwing right-hander. "It could have been a lot worse."

Stephen Pryor (groin) is expected to be placed on the disabled list Wednesday. Pryor is scheduled to undergo an MRI on Wednesday after straining his groin muscle on a play at the first base bag in the ninth inning on Tuesday night. It's a tough break for the rookie right-hander, who has allowed one run over his first 5 1/3 innings in the big leagues.

The Mariners are expected to promote right-hander Stephen Pryor before Friday's game in Chicago. Pryor has registered a gorgeous 0.64 ERA and 39/12 K/BB ratio in 28 innings this season between Double-A Jackson and Triple-A Tacoma. He should do well in middle relief and may work his way into a setup role.
