Strider (6-4) allowed four runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five over 2.2 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
It was announced Strider won't face an innings limit this season, his first as a big-league starter. What could see him lose his spot in the rotation is poor performance, as he's had a couple of poor outings in going 2-2 across his last four starts. In that span, he's allowed 11 runs across 19.1 frames, though he's also posted a 28:6 K:BB. After Sunday's dud, he owns a 3.11 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 138:34 K:BB through 89.2 innings in 24 appearances (13 starts). The 23-year-old right-hander will look to bounce back next weekend in a projected road start in Miami.

Strider does not have an innings cap this season, and Atlanta has no immediate plans to shift him back to the bullpen despite the addition of Jake Odorizzi at the trade deadline, Maria Torres and David O'Brien of The Athletic report.
EDGE Analysis
Strider has been spectacular as a rookie this season, posting a 3.02 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 96:21 K:BB through only 62.2 innings since moving into the rotation in late May. The 23-year-old righty tossed 96.1 innings across all levels in 2021 and is quickly approaching that figure this season, causing concerns about his workload, but as yet he isn't showing any signs of fatigue and Atlanta has no intention of removing him from the rotation until it seems necessary. Odorizzi does give the club some insurance in case Strider or another young pitcher falters down the stretch, but for now the veteran hurler will work as a sixth starter and swing man.

Strider (6-3) earned the victory Tuesday over Philadelphia, striking out 13 in 6.2 innings while allowing a run on three hits and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
Outside of consecutive hits in the second inning that led to Philadelphia's only run, Strider absolutely dominated. At one point he retired 13 batters in a row, nine by strikeout. It was the fourth time he's reached double-digit strikeouts in a game and the first time he's punched out as many as 13. With 133 strikeouts in 87 innings and only five homers allowed, he's putting together one of the best rookie seasons in baseball this year.

Strider (5-3) picked up the win in Tuesday's 6-3 victory over the Phillies, allowing one run on three hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
The rookie shut the Philadelphia offense down completely until serving up a solo shot to Kyle Schwarber in the sixth inning, but Atlanta already held a 5-0 lead at that point. Strider delivered his fourth quality start in his last six outings on a tidy 90 pitches (61 strikes), and he boasts a dazzling 2.20 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 48:9 K:BB through 32.2 innings over that stretch.

Strider (4-3) allowed five runs on four hits and two walks over four innings Sunday, striking out four and taking a loss against Washington.
EDGE Analysis
Most of the damage against Strider came during an ugly four-run second inning; he yielded a two-run single to Ehire Adrianza and a two-run homer to Victor Robles in the frame. It was Strider's second straight start of fewer than five innings after tossing six innings in each of his previous three outings. The 23-year-old is now sporting a 3.03 ERA with a 114:30 K:BB through 21 appearances (10 starts).

Strider allowed a run on five hits, three walks and a hit batsman while striking out eight in 4.2 innings in a 4-1 win Tuesday over the Mets. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Strider held the Mets scoreless through the first four innings but ran into trouble in the fifth. With two outs, he gave up a run-scoring triple to Francisco Lindor and issued an intentional walk to Pete Alonso before being removed, having thrown 103 pitches. Over his last four starts including Tuesday, the 23-year-old has fanned 38 batters in 23.1 innings and allowed just two runs on 13 hits.

Strider struck out 12 in six scoreless innings while allowing two runs on two hits Thursday in a 3-2 loss in extra innings against St. Louis. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Strider struck out eight batters in the first three innings and allowed just one baserunner over the next three frames. The 23-year-old has found his stride of late, allowing one run on eight hits while compiling a 30:3 K:BB in 18 innings over three starts. His next start will likely be early next week against the Mets.

Strider (4-2) earned the win Saturday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk over six innings against the Reds. He struck out 11.
EDGE Analysis
Strider's rookie breakout continued with his second double-digit strikeout game of the season and arguably his best overall performance to date in the big leagues. He induced a whopping 24 swinging strikes on 93 pitches, and Cincinnati was only able to scratch a run across after a hit-by-pitch, a wild pitch and a single. Strider had a recent bump in the road against San Francisco (six earned runs in 3.2 innings), but he's flashing frontline starter potential.

Strider pitched six shutout innings Sunday versus the Dodgers, allowing five hits while striking out seven and walking none in a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Strider was tagged for six runs by the Giants in his last start, but he bounced back with an excellent performance against one of the National League's top teams. The rookie right-hander submitted his longest start of the year, throwing 64 of 95 pitches for strikes while keeping runs off the board for the second time in six starts since he joined the rotation. He owns a 3.02 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 79:22 K:BB through 53.2 innings overall. Strider is expected to make his next start on the road in Cincinnati next weekend.

Strider gave up six earned runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four over 3.2 innings in a 12-10 loss to the Giants in Tuesday. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Strider struggled against a veteran Giants team that chased him after only 3.2 innings. He had previously been effective for the Braves since being moved to the rotation last month, and he came in to face the Giants fresh off of an 11-strikeout performance against the Nationals on June 16th. Strider has electric stuff, including a fastball which averages 98 mph, but it remains to be seen if his mainly two-pitch repertoire (fastball-slider) will play as a starter over the long term. He will look to bounce back in his next start which tentatively lines up for Sunday at home against the Dodgers.
