Kelley allowed two runs on three hits while striking out two in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers have not been involved in contests that require a traditional closer of late, so Kelley pitched for the first time in nine days. Although he threw 17 of his 22 pitches for strikes, the lack of use showed in his missed location, resulting in three consecutive hard-hit balls.

Kelley picked up the save against the Tigers on Thursday, working around a pair of hits to record a scoreless ninth inning and close out a 3-1 victory for the Rangers. He struck out three and walked none.
EDGE Analysis
It wasn't an entirely smooth effort as Kelley allowed a couple of base hits, but he bounced back to strike out the side and pick up his 11th save of the season. The 35-year-old right-hander has blown four saves since taking over as the closer, but his overall numbers for the season are solid, as he's got a 2.79 ERA, a 1.14 WHIP and a 28:5 K:BB over 29 innings.

Kelley allowed one hit over 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out one and earning the save over the White Sox.
EDGE Analysis
It was Kelley's first time recording more than three outs in one appearance since April 20, before he was the team's main closer. He moves to 10-for-14 in save chances this season. Kelley doesn't exactly have a tight grip on the closing job in Texas but, overall, he's getting the job done.

Kelley allowed one run on two hits with one strikeout while recording his ninth save during the ninth inning against the Indians on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander has allowed three runs in his last five outings, two of which have come off solo homers like Thursday. During this stretch, Kelley has blown two saves, but the three-run lead helped prevent that from happening against the Indians. Kelley is 3-1 with a 2.81 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 21 strikeouts in 25.2 innings this season. He is also 9-for-13 in save opportunities.

Kelley pitched a perfect ninth inning to earn the save Saturday at Cincinnati. He did not record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Kelley needed only 11 pitches to put down the Reds in order, which is a good rebound effort after blowing the save in his last outing Monday. The 35-year-old has blown three of his last six save opportunities but overall has a 2.55 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 20:5 K:BB in 24.2 innings this year.

Kelley allowed a run on four hits and blew his fourth save in Monday's 4-3 extra-innings win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers plated two in the top of the ninth off Boston's Matt Barnes to take a lead, putting Kelley in position for the save. However, he blew his third save in the last five chances and needed a quirky double play along with a baserunning blunder to avoid losing it in the ninth. Chris Martin later came on to save the game in the 11th inning.

Kelley worked around a walk with one strikeout in a scoreless inning to earn his seventh save of the season Thursday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
A night after blowing the save in Texas' 12-inning victory, Kelley was able to convert his opportunity to lock up a one-run game. He worked up to 20 pitches, but he never appeared to be in serious trouble as he lowered his ERA to 2.38. Jose LeClerc still looms, but Kelley seems likely to continue seeing save opportunities for now.

Kelley allowed one hit and one walk while striking out two across one inning to blow the save Wednesday against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
Kelley was called upon in the ninth inning to protect a one-run lead, but he failed to do so after surrendering a solo home run to Richie Martin. While the Rangers ultimately rebounded to earn the win, Kelley has now blown two of his last three save chances. He'd put together three scoreless outings since his last blown save prior to Wednesday's effort, but only one came in a save situation. Jose Leclerc continues to pitch well -- he added two scoreless frames Wednesday -- putting some pressure on Kelley to quickly turn around his performance in order to remain the team's closer.

Kelley allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one in the ninth inning to earn the save Wednesday against the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
Kelley allowed the first two batters he faced to reach base but rebounded to record a strikeout and double play to close the game. He now has six saves on the season, with manager Chris Woodward notably turning to Kelley in the save situation after he blew a 2-1 lead in Saturday's action against the Angels. Kelley has now recorded each of the team's last four saves, meaning the closer role appears to be his for the time being.

Kelley (3-1) allowed two runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Kelley had converted saves three times in the last four days, but was unable to protect a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the ninth. It's the second blown save of the season for Kelley, who now has a 2.55 ERA and 0.96 WHIP over 17.2 innings and 18 appearances. Kelley's heavy workload this week may lead to save chances for Jose Leclerc or Chris Martin in the near future.
