Lugo gave up just a single run on four hits and a walk while striking out three over five innings Tuesday against Miami. He didn't factor into the decision in what turned out to be a 10-inning loss.
EDGE Analysis
After getting blown up at Wrigley his last time out, Lugo needed a positive outing. After all, he's had precious few of those this season, as he's managed just five quality starts in 16 tries. Incredibly, despite his horrendous ratios, Lugo actually has a better FIP now (4.13) than last season (4.33). We've already seen him get extremely lucky, and now we've seen him get quite unlucky, but the fact remains that what lies in the middle is a mediocre pitcher who can only be used selectively in fantasy.

Lugo was tagged for eight runs, seven earned, over just three innings in Thursday's loss to the Cubs. He allowed nine hits and posted a 4:1 K:BB in the contest.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo was coming off one of his best outings of the season, but he struggled mightily Thursday, serving up the most runs he has allowed in a game this season. Despite the rough outing Lugo figures to remain in the Mets' rotation and make his next start early next week against the Marlins.

Lugo (6-4) allowed no runs on four hits and one walk while striking out four across six innings to earn the win Friday against the Reds.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo had little trouble keeping the Reds bats silent while the offense gave him plenty of support to help him earn his sixth victory of the season. He came into this contest having allowed 19 earned runs over his past 24.2 innings, and although he had a strong outing in this game, his recent struggles have made him a weak fantasy option. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Cubs.

Lugo (5-4) took the loss in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Astros, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo matched zeroes on the scoreboard with Brad Peacock through five, but he unraveled in the sixth, allowing four batters to reach base without recording an out. The right-hander has pitched reasonably well this year for a guy with a partially torn UCL, but he's not moving the needle for anyone in mixed leagues. He lines up to face the Reds in his next scheduled start.

Lugo gave up two earned runs on four hits through 3.2 innings in a no-decision against the Nationals on Sunday. Washington eventually prevailed 5-4.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo fared fairly well against the high-powered Nats in his first start back from a shoulder injury, tossing 51-of-70 pitches for strikes. The sophomore's record remains at 5-3 to go with a 57:20 K:BB in 72.1 innings this year, and he's next scheduled to toe the rubber Saturday in Houston -- though that could change given the flooding crisis there.

Lugo (shoulder) was activated from the disabled list and is starting Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against the Nationals, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
As planned, Lugo was brought off the DL and is ready to start Sunday night. Lugo has started two games against the Nationals over the course of the 2017 campaign, and he's had a tough time in each outing. Between the two games he's allowed 10 runs (9 earned) over 11.2 innings and collected two losses.

Lugo (shoulder) was named the starter for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against Washington, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
Lugo successfully threw a bullpen session Friday and will be ready to face the high-powered Nationals on Sunday. Lugo, who's last start came on Aug. 11 against the Phillies, will carry a 4.85 ERA and 1.41 WHIP into Sunday's contest.

Lugo (shoulder) is in line to be the starter for Game 2 of Sunday's doubleheader against Washington, Mike Puma of The New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander is expected to throw a bullpen session Friday, which will provide more clarity to the situation ahead of Sunday's twin-bill. Lugo was placed on the disabled list just over a week ago due to right shoulder impingement, but it appears as though he's recovering fast from the setback, which originally appeared to warrant an extended stay on the DL. Although Lugo may be unable to return for Sunday's game, the 27-year-old will likely be back on the mound no latter than next weekend.

Manager Terry Collins indicated that Lugo (shoulder) was scheduled to begin a throwing program Wednesday, Chris Bumbaca of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear if Lugo, who hit the disabled list last week with the right shoulder impingement was actually able to complete what Collins labeled a "touch-and-feel" session, but more word on Lugo's condition should be available before the weekend. If Lugo did indeed throw Wednesday without discomfort, he could begin throwing off a mound as soon as Friday. The Mets have yet to announce if Lugo will require a rehab assignment before being activated from the DL.

Lugo was placed on the DL with a right shoulder impingement, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
This obviously means he will not make his scheduled start Wednesday, and it sounds like he could end up missing at least several turns in the rotation as a result of this injury. Robert Gsellman will be recalled to take Lugo's spot in the rotation.
