Manaea (10-10) surrendered seven runs on 11 hits over 3.2 innings Tuesday while striking out four to take the loss in an 11-1 rout by the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
After delivering quality starts in three of his last four outings, Manaea was dreadful in this one, allowing hits in every inning he pitched, including a triple and homer to Mookie Betts. The lefty will take a 4.65 ERA into his next start Sunday on the road against the Phillies.

Manaea (10-9) earned the win after allowing five hits and three walks through six scoreless innings Wednesday against the Angels. He struck out six.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea turned in another quality start Wednesday; his second straight and third in his past four outings. The 25-year-old owns a healthy 3.04 ERA over that span, though his 1.39 WHIP and 5.3 K/9 are a little less enticing. He looks to be back on track after allowing 18 runs (13 earned) over 6.2 innings in his first three starts of August. He'll take a 4.33 ERA into his next start, which is scheduled for Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Manaea (9-9) gave up three earned runs on seven hits and three walks over 6.2 innings in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Mariners. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old southpaw was a tough-luck loser, as he certainly pitched well enough to reach double-digit wins for the first time in his young career. However, a lack of run support helped do in Manaea, who's now given up three earned runs or less in three straight starts after allowing 18 runs (13 earned) in the three outings prior. Manaea will once again try for his 10th win when he faces the Angels at home next Wednesday.

Manaea (9-8) earned the win over the Rangers on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits and one walk while striking out three over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty averaged over 20 pitches per frame, but he was significantly better than Cole Hamels on the other side. He finished his day with four scoreless after a two-run first inning. Manaea was coming off a quality start in his last outing, but he gave up two homers in that game, bringing his total to eight allowed over the span of six starts. Diminished velocity was a likely culprit behind those struggles, and the A's decided to give him a couple extra days between starts to combat fatigue.

Manaea, who was originally scheduled to start Wednesday against the Orioles, had his next outing pushed to Saturday, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The left-hander rebounded from a difficult three-start stretch in his most recent outing, delivering a quality start against the Astros last Friday. The rescheduling wasn't particularly tied in to Manaea, although the extra rest is likely to help the diminishing velocity he's recently experienced. However, the overriding reason for the move was to accommodate Daniel Gossett, who was called up from Triple-A Nashville and took the hill Wednesday.

Manaea (8-8) dropped the decision in Friday's 3-1 loss to the Astros, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
After surrendering 18 runs over just 6.2 innings in his last three starts, this was in many ways a welcome return to form for Manaea as he delivered his 11th quality start of the year. On the other hand, he gave up two more homers, and his 2.2 HR/9 in seven starts since the All-Star break has been a big driver in his ugly recent results. The lefty will try to build some momentum in his next outing Wednesday on the road against the Orioles.

Manaea gave up six runs on six hits and one walk while recording just one out in Saturday's start against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
This may be the worst fantasy start of the year by any pitcher, as Manaea recorded just one out and failed to record a strikeout, all while destroying his owner's ratios. Manaea had a 3.68 ERA back on July 16, but has since given up 20 runs over 19 innings, and at this point it's very difficult to feel comfortable deploying him until he rights the ship. He lines up to pitch in Houston next weekend.

Manaea was roughed up for six runs (five earned) on six hits with two walks and a strikeout in just 3.1 innings Sunday against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea was lucky to escape with a no-decision as opposing starter Ricky Nolasco was almost as bad. The 25-year-old lefty has been unable to gain any traction in his past two starts, lasting just 6.1 innings while allowing 12 runs. Not all of that damage is his fault, with five of those 12 runs being of the unearned variety. Manaea will hope for better play both from himself and the defense Friday against the Orioles.

Manaea (8-6) pitched just three innings against the Giants on Tuesday, giving up six runs (two earned) on nine hits and a walk in a 10-4 loss.
EDGE Analysis
Things went wrong for him from the very beginning, with Gorkys Hernandez's leadoff double and Yonder Alonso's error two batters later sparking a rally that saw the Giants bat around in the first inning. Of course, outings like this one have been preciously rare for Manaea, who's been turning in generally fantasy-relevant results in his sophomore campaign. He's had some jitters here and there, as all young pitchers do, but fantasy owners should expect the 25-year-old to get back on track soon, with Sunday's start against the Angels presenting a fine opportunity to do so.
