Manaea (7-4) allowed one run on nine hits and three walks during Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Astros. He struck out three and was credited with the win.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea didn't have his best stuff going for him Tuesday, but was able to limit the hard-hitting Astros to just one run en route to his seventh win of the season. After facing the Yankees on June 16 and the Astros over his last two starts, Manaea will have the opportunity to face a more manageable opponent as he currently projects to square off against the Braves on Sunday.

Manaea (6-4) struck out eight while allowing three runs on seven hits and a pair of walks over six innings in Wednesday's home loss to Houston.
EDGE Analysis
After a five-run effort against the Yankees his last time out, Manaea bounced right back with a solid outing, although the result wasn't a favorable one. Still, his 81:28 K:BB over 73.1 innings should have his fantasy owners pleased even if his ERA remains a bit inflated at 4.05. If everyone stays on schedule, Manaea will rematch Mike Fiers and the Astros in Houston on Tuesday.

Manaea didn't factor into the decision in Friday's 7-6 win over the Yankees, giving up five earned runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The young lefty did have the advantage of facing a Yankees squad that was sitting a couple of regulars, but he turned in a serviceable performance in many respects despite giving up five runs. Manaea notched 17 swinging strikes among his 107 pitches and was mainly done in by two mistakes, a three-run home run by Aaron Judge in the third and a solo shot by Chris Carter in the sixth. The 25-year-old did an impressive job keeping the ball down otherwise, inducing 11 groundballs overall. The outing did snap a five-start winning streak for Manaea, but he'll look to start a new one when he takes on the Astros at home next Wednesday.

Manaea (6-3) gave up two earned runs on six hits, two walks, a wild pitch and a hit batsman over seven innings during Saturday's 7-2 win over the Rays in the second game of a doubleheader. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty worked up to 103 pitches and racked up 20 swinging strikes over that span. It was Manaea's fourth consecutive quality start, as well as his fifth straight outing giving up two earned runs or less. He's notched victories in each of those contests while lowering his ERA from 5.52 to 3.67 in the process. He'll look to extend his current successful stretch when he tangles with the Yankees at home in his next start.

Manaea (5-3) gave up two earned runs on four hits and three walks over six innings in Monday's 5-3 win over the Blue Jays. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea got into some early trouble in the first but was quickly given a reprieve when Ryon Healy bashed the first of two home runs in the second to stake the young lefty to a 3-1 lead. The 25-year-old then settled in and allowed just one other run the rest of the way, exiting after six frames and a season-high 111 pitches. It was Manaea's third straight quality start, a stretch in which he's allowed just three earned runs overall and compiled a 24:5 K:BB across 20 innings. He'll look notch what would be his fifth consecutive victory when he faces the Rays on the road next Saturday.

Manaea (4-3) tossed seven impressive innings in Cleveland on Wednesday, striking out nine while allowing just a single run on three hits and a walk.
EDGE Analysis
He's now won three straight starts, and the last two have been particularly impressive efforts. Manaea's showing more and more flashes of his sky-high upside, and he's now pulled his ERA under the 4.00 mark to 3.91; his accompanying 1.03 WHIP and promising 54:19 K:BB (48.1 innings) would suggest that his run prevention will continue improving. The 25-year-old righty will make his next start at home against Toronto on Monday.

Manaea (3-3) allowed no runs on four hits and one walk while striking out eight over seven innings to earn the win Friday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea left the contest in a scoreless game, but the offense came up with a pair of runs in the top of the eighth inning to reward him for his outstanding effort. This was only the second time he posted a quality start over his last seven outings, and he lowered his ERA to 4.35. His best fantasy asset has been his ability to strike out batters, as he's notched 45 of them over his last 41.1 innings of work. He'll make his next start Friday against the Indians.

Manaea will start Friday against the Yankees in place of Kendall Graveman, Jane Lee of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Oakland had off days on both Monday and Thursday this week, so Manaea will have had a solid five days since his last start, Saturday against Boston. The southpaw has compiled a 5.24 ERA over seven starts this season, but hasn't given up more than four earned runs over his last five starts and is holding opposing hitters to a .189 BAA. Jharel Cotton will be recalled to start Saturday's matinee.

Manaea (2-3) allowed three runs, two of which were earned, on five hits while striking out three over five innings to earn the win Saturday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Manaea left the contest with a 3-2 deficit before the offense erupted with five runs in the bottom of the fifth to earn him his third victory of the campaign. Despite the decent outing, he's only had a single quality start all year, and his 5.24 ERA makes him a risky player to use in fantasy lineups. He'll make his next start Saturday against the Yankees.

Manaea (1-3) allowed four runs on only two hits (one home run) while walking five and striking out seven over five innings in Monday's 6-5 loss to the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The young left-hander walked four in the first inning after a leadoff single by Jean Segura, and it led to a 38-pitch opening frame. The good news is that Manaea finished strong, retiring the final 10 batters he faced in his first start since April 26. The 25-year-old's ceiling remains high because of his strikeout stuff (10.4 K/9), but his lack of control (5.2 BB/9) makes him a risky mixed league option for the time being.
