Travis will start at first base and bat fifth Sunday against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
With the Red Sox facing another lefty (J.A. Happ) in the series finale, Travis will stay in the lineup for the fifth time in six games. Travis will likely continue to fill the short side of a platoon at first base with Mitch Moreland for the foreseeable future with Steve Pearce (back) not believed to be close to a return from the injured list.

Travis started at first base and went 3-for-4 with a stolen base, an RBI and a run scored in Saturday's 9-5 win over the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Travis started for the second straight day with a left-hander on the bump for the pinstripes. The left-handed hitting Mitch Moreland typically plays against righties, leaving the southpaws to Travis or Michael Chavis, who has started the last two games at second base. Travis may stick around for the rest of the season as Steve Pearce (back/knee) is not close to returning.

Travis started at first base and went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's win over the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
Travis belted his second home run in four games, but his track record indicates he doesn't offer much power for a first baseman. He slotted into the starting lineup with Michael Chavis sidelined by a back injury, which could land Chavis on the 10-day injured list. That would be convenient as Boston is anticipating Mitch Moreland (quadriceps) returning Tuesday. That would mean Travis' stay in the majors could last a bit longer. He would be on the short side of a platoon at first base.

Travis went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in an 11-2 loss against the Orioles on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Receiving his second straight start, Travis again recorded an extra-base hit and his first major league homer of 2019. He is 8-for-38 (.211) this season and both of his extra-base hits have come in the last couple days. Travis is 2-for-7 (.286) since his return to the majors on July 15.

Travis was recalled from Triple-A Pawtucket on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Travis will give the Red Sox another option at first base with both Mitch Moreland (quadriceps) and Steve Pearce (back) on the injured list. Travis has thus far failed to impress in a limited sample of 152 plate appearances over the last three seasons, hitting .238/.283/322 with just a single homer. He owns a respectable but unexciting .275/.362/.432 slash lin in 68 games for Pawtucket this season. Eduardo Nunez was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

The Red Sox demoted Travis to Triple-A Pawtucket following Sunday's 12-8 loss to the Yankees in London, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Chavis served as Boston's 26th man for the two-game series across the pond. He entered Saturday's loss as a reserve and went 0-for-3, but had better luck while drawing a start in left field Sunday, finishing the day 2-for-4 with an RBI. With the extra roster spot no longer available as the Red Sox return stateside, Travis will head back to Triple-A to play on an everyday basis.

Travis went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's 12-8 loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Travis filled in for Andrew Benintendi (quadriceps) in left field for the final game of the London Series. He acted as Boston's 26th man for the weekend and presumably will head back to Triple-A Pawtucket, unless Benintendi's injury is more serious.

Travis will start in left field and bat ninth Sunday against the Yankees in London.
EDGE Analysis
Travis has been acting as Boston's 26th man for the series and will likely be headed back to Triple-A Pawtucket once the Red Sox return stateside. He came off the bench to replace an injured Andrew Benintendi (quadriceps) in Saturday's 17-13 loss, going hitless in all three of his plate appearances. With Benintendi sidelined for the series finale, Travis will pick up his seventh start of the season with the big club.

Manager Alex Cora said Wednesday that Travis will likely serve as Boston's 26th man for its two-game series versus the Yankees in London this weekend, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Due to the two-game set being played overseas, Major League Baseball will allow both clubs to carry an extra player. Travis is expected to serve as a right-handed option off the bench this weekend before likely moving back to Triple-A Pawtucket once the Red Sox return stateside.

Travis was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket on Friday, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Travis hadn't started the last three games and was 2-for-17 since joining the Red Sox at the start of June. Pitcher Brian Johnson (elbow) was activated off the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.
