An MRI on Ryan Theriot's left knee came back negative. Theriot had to be removed from Wednesday's game after he felt tightness in the back of the knee. He's also dealing with some lower back discomfort, but the knee is the bigger issue. It's possible, but not a given, that he'll return to the lineup Saturday.

Ryan Theriot didn't play Thursday after being removed from Wednesday's game with tightness behind his left knee. The shortstop is also dealing with lower back discomfort, and although he wouldn't admit it, it probably contributed to a particularly rough defensive showing Wednesday. Theriot, though, hopes to return to the lineup Friday.
