Pressly (knee) is on track to return from the 10-day injured list Friday in Baltimore, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
He will have a rehab outing Tuesday with Double-A Corpus Christi, and the plan is for that to be his lone rehab appearance before getting activated this weekend. Pressly ranks in the top-15 among qualified relievers in ERA (2.03), WHIP (0.86) and K-BB% (27.7). Roberto Osuna went through a seven-game stretch from July 12 through July 24 where he gave up a run in five of seven appearances (6.75 ERA over that stretch), but he has since logged back-to-back scoreless appearances and has converted three straight save opportunities.

Pressly (knee) completed a bullpen session Sunday, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pressly's ability to resume mound work seemingly puts him on track for a brief stint on the 10-day injured list. He's first eligible for reinstatement ahead of Tuesday's game against the Rockies, though he may need a couple additional days to build up before Houston is comfortable bringing the All-Star reliever back.

The Astros placed Pressly (knee) on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Jake Kaplan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Since Pressly hasn't pitched since last Friday, he'll be eligible to return from the IL as soon as Aug. 6. The Astros had hoped that a few days off would help Pressly overcome the bruised knee that has troubled him lately, but the hard-throwing righty didn't show as much improvement as the club had hoped. Fortunately, the Astros haven't provided any indication that Pressly's injury is a long-term concern or something that will plague him for the remainder of the season, so he should immediately step back into the top setup role once reinstated from the IL. Pressly has been one of the majors' most dominant relievers this season, posting a 2.03 ERA, 0.86 WHIP and 55:8 K:BB across 44.1 innings while chipping in 23 holds and three saves.

Pressly's (knee) status remains uncertain Tuesday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pressly has pitched just twice in the last 12 days due to a bruised knee. The Astros have reportedly considered sending him to the injured list, though no move has yet been made. The team's plans remains unclear even after Pressly threw a bullpen session prior to Tuesday's game in Cleveland.

Manager AJ Hinch said the Astros are considering putting Pressly (knee) on the injured list, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pressly missed time earlier in the week due to a bruised knee, and he didn't look quite right in his return to action Friday, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk before exiting without recording an out. He's apparently still dealing with some soreness, though the Astros aren't sure if the issue is serious enough for him to require a stay on the injured list at this point. How Pressly responds to treatment in the coming days will likely determine whether he lands on the IL or not.

Pressly (knee) threw a scoreless eighth inning on eight pitches in Wednesday's win over Oakland. He allowed one hit.
EDGE Analysis
With the scoreless frame, Pressly earned his 23rd hold (second-most in baseball). It was his first appearance in close to a week -- Pressly was hit in the knee by a comebacker his last time out and manager AJ Hinch decided to stay away from him for awhile. Pressly is one of the best relievers in the game, and even in a setup role, he's roster worthy in most formats.

Pressly (knee) is expected to be available for Wednesday's game against Oakland, Hunter Atkins of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pressly hasn't pitched in nearly a week after getting hit by a comebacker in the knee on Thursday. With his 1.45 ERA and 0.78 WHIP through 43.1 innings, the Astros would certainly like to have him available soon.

Pressly hasn't been used since Thursday after taking a comebacker off his knee in that day's game against the Angels, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It doesn't sound like Pressly has been completely unavailable, but manager A.J. Hinch has successfully been able to avoid him in favor of other options. The reliever hasn't been placed on the injured list, so it's likely that he'll get into a game sometime soon.

Pressly will be used in Tuesday night's All-Star Game only in an emergency, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pressly doesn't appear to be dealing with any type of injury, though the Astros do want to be sure their top reliever is ready to go when the second half of the season resumes Thursday against the Rangers. The right-hander earned himself an All-Star appearance by posting a sparkling 1.36 ERA and 0.78 WHIP with a 47:6 K:BB over 39.2 innings during the first half.

Pressly struck out two in a perfect eighth inning to earn his 21st hold of the season Tuesday in the Astros' 9-8 win over the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
The altitude of Coors Field didn't seem to affect Pressly, who mowed down the All-Star trio of Trevor Story, David Dahl and Nolan Arenado in 13 pitches. These kind of dominant performances have been par for the course for Pressly, who earned his first All-Star appearance himself after posting a 1.43 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 43:4 K:BB over his first 37 appearances of 2019. After protecting another one-run lead, Pressly also reclaimed the MLB holds lead from the Yankees' Adam Ottavino.
