Ohlendorf was scheduled to pitch two innings Thursday, but finished just one due to right groin tightness.
Ohlendorf has been battling groin tightness the whole week, and it looks as the the fight continues. He's in Rangers' camp as a non-roster invitee, but performed well enough to possibly earn a long relief spot in the bullpen. While that still can't be ruled out, the injury could affect his future.

Ohlendorf (groin) was able to throw a bullpen session Saturday but still has no timetable for when he'll be able to return to game action, the team/s web site reports.
The injury is starting to hurt Ohlendorf's chances of nailing down one of the two open rotation spots at the back of the Texas rotation.

Ohlendorf (groin) won't return this weekend as originally expected, the team's web site reports.
Any sort of additional minor setback would figure to knock Ohlendorf out of the competition for one of two vacated rotation spots as he's been limited to just four innings this spring.

Ohlendorf (groin) felt better Monday and could make a start as early as this weekend, the team's web site reports.
Ohlendorf remains part of the busy competition for one of two rotation spots, so a quick return to health is imperative if he doesn't want to start losing ground.

Ohlendorf (groin) said he is feeling better Monday, but he is without a timetable to return to the mound, MLB.com's TR Sullivan reports.
He left Sunday's game with right groin tightness, and it sounds like it could sideline him for a couple weeks. Considering Ohlendorf was competing for a low-leverage bullpen spot and will now likely begin the year at Triple-A, he can be avoided in most fantasy formats.

Ohlendorf exited Sunday's spring training game early due to right groin tightness, and will be re-evaluated Monday.
Ohlendorf came into camp looking to grab a spot in the bullpen out of spring training, but an injury certainly doesn't help his chances. A back issue caused him to miss much of 2014, and the odds are stacked against him for making the bullpen in 2015.

Ohlendorf signed a minor league contract with the Rangers on Friday that includes an invite to spring training, T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com reports.
The majority of Ohlendorf's appearances in the majors have come as a starter (80 of 124), but it seems likely he'll compete for a long-relief role with Texas this spring. Back issues prevented Ohlendorf from toeing the major league rubber for the Nationals last season, but he held right-handed hitters to a .227/.266/.386 batting line in his last (mostly) healthy season in 2013.

Ohlendorf (back) was reinstated from the 60-day DL and outrighted off the 40-man roster, but he refused his assignment and elected free agency.
Back troubles surfaced in Ohlendorf's spring training debut, and he made just a handful of minor league appearances upon his return before suffering what proved to be a season-ending setback. The Nationals are ready to move on, but Ohlendorf posted a 3.28 ERA and 1.16 WHIP over 60.1 innings in 2013 and figures to at least earn a spring training invite from another club, health permitting.

Ross Ohlendorf (back) will begin a rehab assignment with High-A Potomac on Wednesday.
Ohlendorf has been sidelined all season with a right lumbar strain. He's eligible to return in late May and could be ready at that time, though he's not a given to be added to the big league roster.

Nationals placed RHP Ross Ohlendorf on the 60-day disabled list with a right lumbar strain.
Ohlendorf was optioned to Triple-A Syracuse last week, but the option has been voided due to the injury. The veteran right-hander won't be eligible to return until late-May. The roster moves clears a spot for the newly-signed Kevin Frandsen.
