Kivlehan went 2-for-2 with a solo homer, a walk and an additional run scored in Tuesday's loss to the Twins.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan singled and scored in the fourth inning before taking Trevor May deep in the fifth frame to put the Pirates up 4-2. While it was a nice showing for the 29-year-old, he still projects as outfield depth given his career .208/.302/.401 slash line across parts of three big-league seasons (132 games).

Kivlehan inked a minor-league contract with Pittsburgh on Wednesday, John Dreker of Pirates Prospects reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan will provide additional outfield depth after spending a majority of the 2018 campaign at the Triple-A level. The 28-year-old bounced around a few times this past year, beginning with Cincinnati then heading to the Mets in May, followed by a short stint with Arizona in September. He wound up playing in nine big-league games for the Diamondbacks, going 3-for-13 with two triples in his brief opportunity with the club. In his last -- and only -- full season in the majors, he slashed .208/.304/.399 in 115 games with the Reds in 2017.

Kivlehan was outrighted from the Diamondbacks' 40-man roster Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan was recently designated for assignment after coming over to the organization in early September. He wound playing briefly in nine games down the stretch, going 3-for-13 with a pair of triples and six strikeouts. Aside from those nine games, he spent the rest of the season at the Triple-A level, which was a far cry from the 115 games he played in the majors for Cincinnati last season. He will continue to serve as added outfield depth while in the Diamondbacks' organization.

Kivlehan started in left field and went 2-for-3 with two triples and two runs in Wednesday's 9-0 win over the Cubs. He also reached base when he was hit by a pitch.
EDGE Analysis
With the Diamondbacks entering the day just four games over .500 to effectively remove themselves from playoff contention, manager Torey Lovullo elected to shake up the lineup Wednesday. The team's regular starting outfield -- David Peralta, A.J. Pollock and Steven Souza -- all sat out, paving the way for Kivlehan to make his first start with the Diamondbacks. Though he turned in a solid showing at the dish, it's unlikely he'll take on a full-time role during the final week and a half of the season. Kivlehan should at least get a boost in playing time, however, while Arizona builds in more rest for its everyday contributors.

Kivlehan was traded to Arizona from the Mets on Thursday in exchange for cash considerations.
EDGE Analysis
In addition, the Diamondbacks selected his contract from the minors, so Kivlehan will join the big-league club upon his arrival. Prior to this transaction, Kivlehan spent the entirety of the 2018 campaign at the Triple-A level within the Mets and Reds' organizations. In 98 games with Las Vegas (New York's affiliate), he slashed .314/.372/.588 with 20 home runs and 67 RBI. He will serve as a reserve outfielder for the Diamondbacks moving forward.

The Reds released Kivlehan last week, Matt Eddy of Baseball America reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan opened the season at Triple-A Louisville, appearing in 15 games and hitting .167/.255/.167 before receiving his walking papers. The 28-year-old had served as a fourth or fifth outfielder for the big club for much of 2017, but didn't distinguish himself in that role to earn anything more than a minor-league deal over the winter. Kivlehan's early struggles at Louisville prompted the Reds to find a better use for the roster spot.

Kivlehan agreed to a minor-league contract with a spring training invitation with Cincinnati on Saturday, Mark Sheldon of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan will return to Cincinnati after playing in 115 games with the big-league club last season. During that time, he slashed .208/.304/.399 with nine home runs and 26 RBI.

Kivlehan was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan played in 115 games for the Reds this past season, hitting .208 with a .703 OPS in a utility outfielder role. The 28-year-old will continue to serve as organizational depth within the Reds system for the time being, but his fantasy impact is severely limited.

Kivlehan went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored during Thursday's loss to Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
Kivlehan has played sparingly this season and owns an underwhelming .209/.305/.401 slash line through 203 plate appearances this season. He projects to remain off the fantasy radar in the majority of fantasy settings through the end of the regular season.

Kivlehan will start in right field and bat second Wednesday against the Padres, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Jesse Winke while southpaw Travis Wood takes the hill for the opposition, Kivlehan will pick up his first start since July 29. The Reds are also resting Zack Cozart for the evening, so Kivlehan will benefit from a cushy lineup spot between Billy Hamilton and Joey Votto. That will give Kivlehan more DFS appeal than usual, though his middling .212/.295/.415 batting line for the season still presents plenty of downside.
