The Phillies traded Allgeyer to the Astros on Friday in exchange for cash considerations, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allgeyer is currently enjoying his best season in the minors since first reaching Triple-A in 2021. He holds a 4.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and a solid 15:6 K:BB ratio through 12 innings over four starts. Allgeyer only has one career major-league appearance which came in 2021, so the chances of him making an impact with the Astros are slim.

The Blue Jays assigned Allgeyer to Triple-A Buffalo after he cleared waivers Sunday, Scott Mitchell of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Allgeyer will remain in the organization after he went unclaimed off waivers when Toronto designated him for assignment last weekend. Aside from a brief one-game cameo with the big club, the 25-year-old lefty has pitched exclusively at Buffalo this season, logging a 4.37 ERA and 1.71 WHIP across 45.1 innings.

The Blue Jays optioned Allgeyer to Triple-A Buffalo on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty pitched a perfect inning Friday after being recalled as an additional relief arm. However, Allgeyer will get sent down to make way for Rafael Dolis (finger), whom the team reinstated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

EDGE Analysis
The lefty spent a couple days on the big-league roster in mid-May, but didn't appear in a game. As a starter with Triple-A Buffalo this season, Allgeyer has gone 3-2 with a 4.24 ERA in 40.1 innings over nine outings. He joins the Blue Jays alongside Anthony Castro to replace Tyler Chatwood (neck) and Patrick Murphy, whom the team optioned Friday.

The Blue Jays optioned Allgeyer to Triple-A Buffalo on Monday, Rob Longley of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Toronto won't announce a corresponding transaction until shortly before Tuesday's series opener versus Boston, but the Blue Jays are expected to activate another reliever in Rafael Dolis (calf) from the 10-day injured list. Allgeyer 25, went unused out of the bullpen during his two-day stay with the Blue Jays following his first big-league call-up.
