The Blue Jays recalled Allgeyer from Triple-A Buffalo on Friday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
The lefty spent a couple days on the big-league roster in mid-May, but didn't appear in a game. As a starter with Triple-A Buffalo this season, Allgeyer has gone 3-2 with a 4.24 ERA in 40.1 innings over nine outings. He joins the Blue Jays alongside Anthony Castro to replace Tyler Chatwood (neck) and Patrick Murphy, whom the team optioned Friday.
