Feliz faced just one batter and struck him out for his first save of the year Wednesday against Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
He entered with a 6-1 lead, but Taylor Jungmann had gotten the Brewers into a mess, giving up a run and then loading the bases before being pulled with two outs. Because the tying run was on deck, it was a save opportunity, which Feliz took advantage of by whiffing Charlie Blackmon on five pitches. The Brewers don't seem entirely committed to Feliz as their closer, but the unproven Corey Knebel is the only other option worth considering, so it seems likely that the 28-year-old will hold the job for a while, if not all season.

Feliz tossed a perfect inning and struck out two batters in a spring game Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Feliz has been brought along a bit slowly this spring because his arrival at camp was delayed by visa issues, but he has now appeared in two games, so consider him on track moving forward. Feliz has been pounding the strike zone this spring, throwing all 14 of his pitches for strikes, so it appears it did not take him long to find his control. He was brought in to be the Brewers' closer and remains on track to open the season in that role.

Feliz will be late to camp because of a visa issue in Dominican Republic, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although it's unfortunate for both parties, this won't change his status heading into 2017. He passed his physical before signing with the Brewers, so there aren't any lingering concerns with the arm issue that kept him out last September, and the 28-year-old is still set to close for Milwaukee next season.

Feliz agreed to a one-year, $5.35 million deal with the Brewers on Thursday, and is expected to enter the year as the closer, Yahoo! Sports' Jeff Passan reports.
EDGE Analysis
He can earn an extra $1.5 million in performance bonuses. Feliz posted a 3.52 ERA and 61:21 K:BB in 53.2 innings with the Pirates last year, but the longball was an issue (1.68 HR/9). Still, he makes for a nice source of saves late in drafts. Of course, the Brewers have every reason to showcase him in a high-leverage role with the intention of flipping him at the trade deadline, so he may not rack up a full season's worth of saves. He passed his physical, so there should be no lingering concerns about him sitting out last September with an arm issue.

Feliz (arm) may not pitch again this season, Adam Berry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Feliz's arm ailment hasn't shown any improvement as he hasn't thrown since a 36-pitch bullpen session in mid-September. With only a handful of games remaining on the schedule, the Pirates are mulling over simply shutting him down rather than pushing him back on the mound before he's ready. Antonio Bastardo figures to serve as the setup man for the Pirates the rest of the way.

Feliz (arm) threw a 36-pitch bullpen session Tuesday in Philadelphia, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Pirates gave no indication as to when he might return to action, but at least he's making progress. Feliz hasn't pitched since Sept. 3 due to right arm discomfort.

Feliz (arm) is still unable to play catch, so it's unlikely that he will return during this homestand, MLB.com's Adam Berry reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Pirates embark on a three-series road trip on Monday, and Feliz might be able to return at some point during that 10-game stretch, but he can safely be ruled out through this weekend. Tony Watson hasn't been great in the closer role, with five blown saves in 15 chances, but Feliz's injury has prevented him from getting into the mix for the ninth inning role.

Feliz (arm) is not available Tuesday, but could pitch later during the Pirates' current homestand, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Feliz does not appear to be dealing with a serious setback at this time, but he not pitched since Saturday and will likely get at least a couple more days off in an effort to help him heal up.

Pirates GM Neal Huntington said Sunday that Feliz's right arm injury is more of a muscular issue than a ligament one, MLB.com's Adam Berry reports.
EDGE Analysis
Feliz experienced the discomfort in his arm during Saturday's appearance against the Brewers, when he surrendered two runs on two hits over 0.1 innings. The Pirates will likely give him the next few days off to rest, but fortunately, it doesn't look like Feliz's injury is anything too worrisome.

Feliz left Saturday's game due to right arm discomfort, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reports.
EDGE Analysis
The righty hadn't pitched since Monday, when he gave up two runs and three hits in one inning against the Cubs. GM Neal Huntington will likely update Feliz's status during his Sunday radio show.
