Nathan Eovaldi struck out two while allowing just three hits in three scoreless innings of Friday's 17-4 win over the White Sox. Eovaldi has now allowed just one run through 10 2/3 spring innings (0.84 ERA), posting a 6/2 K/BB ratio in the process. He's still likely ticketed for Triple-A Albuquerque to begin the season, but is worth monitoring in NL-only leagues.

Nathan Eovaldi threw three scoreless innings Saturday in a Cactus League start against the Rockies. Eovaldi has allowed just one earned run in three spring outings. He doesn't have much of a chance of earning a spot in the Opening Day rotation, but these early performances are certainly catching the eyes of the Dodgers' decision-makers. The 22-year-old should be first in line for a callup.

Nathan Eovaldi tossed three scoreless innings Saturday afternoon against the Mariners. Eovaldi is currently on the outside of the Dodgers' rotation mix, but he'll be first in line in to fill the gap in the event of an emergency. The 21-year-old right-hander posted a cool 3.63 ERA in 34 2/3 innings last year.

Nathan Eovaldi has been moved to the bullpen in an effort to keep his innings down. Eovaldi finished his run as a starter in fine fashion, holding the Braves to one run on three hits over six innings Saturday (though he did walk five). The 21-year-old will be in the running for a rotation spot next spring.

Nathan Eovaldi will make one more start before moving to a long relief role in the Dodgers' bullpen. Eovaldi, 21, has registered a 3.46 ERA and 1.31 WHIP in five starts this year for Los Angeles and is likely to have a spot in the 2012 Opening Day starting rotation. He can be dropped in non-keeper fantasy leagues after his final start Friday evening against the Braves.

Nathan Eovaldi was ripped for five earned runs over four innings in Sunday's loss to the Rockies. Just as Eovaldi was getting on the mixed league radar, he comes crashing back to earth. The prospect came into today with a 2.05 ERA and 1.18 WHIP in his first four starts, but was tagged for five runs in the first inning today. The outing won't bode well for Eovaldi's chances of sticking in the rotation as he approaches his innings limit.

Nathan Eovaldi held the Cardinals to one run on five hits and a walk in five innings of work on Monday in Los Angeles' 2-1 win in St. Louis. Eovaldi didn't factor into the decision. He struck out two in his fourth start since joining the Dodgers rotation on August 6. Eovaldi has been great thus far, posting a 2.05 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 14/10 K/BB ratio through his first 22 major-league innings. Eovaldi is worth owning in NL-only leagues, though he may soon be shifted to the Dodgers bullpen. Perhaps his string of success will change that thinking.

Nathan Eovaldi held the Brewers to two runs on five hits and three walks in six innings of work on Wednesday, but got stuck with the loss in Los Angeles' 3-1 setback in Milwaukee. He struck out two in his third start since joining the Dodgers rotation on August 6. The owner of a 2.12 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 12/9 K/BB ratio through his first 17 major-league innings, Eovaldi is certainly worth a look in NL-only leagues, though he may soon be shifted to the Dodgers bullpen.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said Nathan Eovaldi is unlikely to make it through the end of the season without reaching his innings limit. Eovaldi has thrown 114 innings so far this season and has around 30 remaining. That will likely equate to 5-6 more starts, meaning he could be capped out in early September. Mattingly would like to move the 21-year-old to the bullpen rather than shut him down altogether. "I don't like the thought of stopping a guy at a time during the year," Mattingly said. "There's experience to be gained out of the 'pen." John Ely is expected to eventually replace Eovaldi in the rotation.

Nate Eovaldi pitched six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits, Friday in a no-decision against the Astros. This was just like facing another Southern League lineup for Eovaldi, who was making his second big-league start. Things will get tougher next week, as he's set to pitch in Milwaukee. NL-only leaguers won't want him active for that one.
