Eovaldi (12-4) earned the win over the Mariners on Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi surrendered solo home runs in the second and third innings, which was just the second time in his last nine starts he's given up multiple homers in a start. He was given a chance for a quality start but allowed the first three batters to reach in the sixth and was pulled for Martin Perez, who would allow all three inherited runners to score. The five earned runs were the most given up by Eovaldi since April 12, and he hadn't given up six hits or more since June 10. He'll have a chance to redeem himself once more before the end of the regular season in a rematch against the Mariners.

Eovaldi did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings in a 6-4 win over Boston. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi took another step toward returning to normal Tuesday, going deeper than 3.1 innings for the first time since coming off the IL in early September while firing 82 pitches. While he certainly hasn't been as effective since being activated (6.75 ERA over 12 innings), Tuesday's contest should give fantasy managers some hope that Eovaldi can provide value during what's left of the regular season. The 33-year-old is tentatively scheduled to take the mound Sunday against the Mariners.

Eovaldi did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over 3.1 innings against Toronto. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old had another short outing and surrendered a two-run homer to Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning. The silver lining is that Eovaldi fired 73 pitches, his most in three starts since returning from the injured list Sept. 5, as he continues to build back up to a normal workload. In the right-hander's previous two outings, he threw 35 and 47 pitches while failing to complete three innings. While it's encouraging to see his pitch count increase, fantasy managers have to hope Eovaldi can improve upon the 7.71 ERA, 2.43 WHIP and 7:6 K:BB he has posted across just seven innings since his return. He is currently slated to make his next start early next week in a home matchup with one of his former teams, the Red Sox.

Eovaldi pitched 2.1 scoreless innings in a no-decision against Oakland on Saturday, allowing three hits while issuing two walks and striking out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi struggled Tuesday in his first game back following a lengthy stay on the injured list, giving up four runs in 1.1 frames against Houston. He looked better Saturday, though he was limited to 2.1 innings despite tossing a modest 47 pitches. That was always the plan for the right-hander -- Rangers manager Bruce Bochy had indicated prior to the outing that Eovaldi was slated for 45-50 pitches due to the recency of his injury and the fact he was pitching on three days of rest. Eovaldi should work his way back up to a normal workload in time, and he is tentatively scheduled to make his next start in Toronto.

Eovaldi (11-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk over 1.1 innings against the Astros. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
After being sidelined since mid-July with a forearm strain, Eovaldi's long-awaited return was certainly lackluster. He was pulled at 35 pitches and only managed to retire four batters, with just one coming via strikeout. Eovaldi gave up a pair of solo home runs to Jose Altuve as part of a four-run start, raising his ERA from 2.69 to 2.95 on the year. While Tuesday's struggles were uncharacteristic, Eovaldi is in line for another tough matchup next time out against the Blue Jays on the road.

Eovaldi (forearm) was activated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start against the Astros on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old has been sidelined by a forearm strain since mid-July and has finally been cleared to retake the mound for the Rangers, in what will be just his second start since the All-Star break. Eovaldi is returning without going out on a minor-league rehab assignment, so he'll likely have a limited pitch count in his first couple turns through the rotation. Prior to the injury, the right-hander was in the midst of the most effective campaign of his career with a 2.69 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 111:34 K:BB over 123.2 innings.

Eovaldi (forearm) will be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Astros, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi has been given the green light to return from the injured list after going down with a right forearm strain July 30. This figures to be a big boost for the Rangers, who are battling against Houston and Seattle for first place in the AL West. Evodaldi was pitching well prior to his injury, posting a 3.00 ERA and 1.10 WHIP with a 19:15 in his previous five starts (30 innings).

Eovaldi (forearm) completed a bullpen session Sunday and could be activated from the 15-day injured list to start Tuesday's game against the Astros, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers have confirmed only Andrew Heaney as a starter for their crucial three-game series with Houston that begins Monday, with starters for Tuesday and Wednesday having yet to be announced. Eovaldi and Max Scherzer (forearm) seem to be tentatively penciled in for the latter two outings, however, after the two hurlers both completed side sessions Sunday. The Rangers will likely check back in with both Eovaldi and Scherzer on Monday before finalizing their plans for the final two games of the series. Assuming Eovaldi checked out fine Monday and is activated to start Tuesday, he could be on a restricted pitch count, given that he hasn't made an appearance for the Rangers since July 18 and didn't complete a minor-league rehab assignment beforehand.

Eovaldi (forearm) threw a bullpen session Friday, Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
As scheduled, Eovaldi took the mound Friday for what was expected to be a heavier bullpen session following a lighter one Tuesday. The right-hander suffered a minor setback during his rehab, but the Rangers remain hopeful Eovaldi will not need a rehab start before rejoining the rotation.

Eovaldi (forearm) threw a light bullpen session Tuesday, MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi was potentially on track to return from his forearm strain when rosters expanded, but he experienced tightness in his side following a bullpen session last week, delaying his activation from the IL. Texas manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday's session went well, and Eovaldi is scheduled to throw a "much heavier" session Friday.
