Eovaldi allowed two runs on five hits and three walks over 6.1 innings, earning the win in Sunday's 9-2 victory over the Astros in Game 6 of the ALCS. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi has been lights out in the postseason as he has now pitched his fourth quality start in four games, earning the win each time he has taken the mound. The right-hander appeared to be on the ropes early, allowing an RBI single to Yordan Alvarez in the first inning, but managed to settle in and limit the damage to earn the eighth win of his postseason career. Eovaldi has pitched to an excellent 2.42 ERA and 0.96 WHIP with 28 strikeouts across 26 innings in October.

Eovaldi will start Monday against Houston in Game 2 of the ALCS, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi has been brilliant to start the postseason, allowing just two runs while striking out 15 batters and walking none across 13.2 innings. However, Eovaldi was lit up for four runs in just 1.1 frames during his most recent matchup with Houston in early September.

Manager Bruce Bochy announced Eovaldi will start Game 3 of the ALDS against the Orioles on Tuesday, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander started Game 2 of the wild-card series against Tampa Bay and allowed just one run on six hits and no walks while striking out eight over 6.2 innings to help Texas advance. Eovaldi had a rough finish to the regular season with 15 runs given up across his final three starts, but he didn't let that downturn affect his performance to open the playoffs.

Eovaldi (12-5) allowed seven runs on five hits and two walks while striking out five over 3.1 innings to take the loss Friday versus the Mariners.
EDGE Analysis
The Mariners did all their damage in the third and fourth innings, sending Eovaldi to the showers early after the back-to-back shaky frames. Over six appearances in September, Eovaldi allowed 21 runs across 20.1 innings with a 21:13 K:BB since returning from a forearm strain. He ends the regular season with a 3.63 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 132:47 K:BB over 144 innings through 25 starts. Given his recent struggles, it's unclear if he'd be part of a potential postseason rotation for the Rangers should they secure a playoff spot.

Eovaldi (12-4) earned the win over the Mariners on Sunday, allowing five runs on six hits and two walks while striking out six over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi surrendered solo home runs in the second and third innings, which was just the second time in his last nine starts he's given up multiple homers in a start. He was given a chance for a quality start but allowed the first three batters to reach in the sixth and was pulled for Martin Perez, who would allow all three inherited runners to score. The five earned runs were the most given up by Eovaldi since April 12, and he hadn't given up six hits or more since June 10. He'll have a chance to redeem himself once more before the end of the regular season in a rematch against the Mariners.

Eovaldi did not factor into the decision Tuesday, allowing three runs on four hits and three walks over five innings in a 6-4 win over Boston. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi took another step toward returning to normal Tuesday, going deeper than 3.1 innings for the first time since coming off the IL in early September while firing 82 pitches. While he certainly hasn't been as effective since being activated (6.75 ERA over 12 innings), Tuesday's contest should give fantasy managers some hope that Eovaldi can provide value during what's left of the regular season. The 33-year-old is tentatively scheduled to take the mound Sunday against the Mariners.

Eovaldi did not factor into the decision Thursday, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks over 3.1 innings against Toronto. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old had another short outing and surrendered a two-run homer to Vladimir Guerrero in the first inning. The silver lining is that Eovaldi fired 73 pitches, his most in three starts since returning from the injured list Sept. 5, as he continues to build back up to a normal workload. In the right-hander's previous two outings, he threw 35 and 47 pitches while failing to complete three innings. While it's encouraging to see his pitch count increase, fantasy managers have to hope Eovaldi can improve upon the 7.71 ERA, 2.43 WHIP and 7:6 K:BB he has posted across just seven innings since his return. He is currently slated to make his next start early next week in a home matchup with one of his former teams, the Red Sox.

Eovaldi pitched 2.1 scoreless innings in a no-decision against Oakland on Saturday, allowing three hits while issuing two walks and striking out three batters.
EDGE Analysis
Eovaldi struggled Tuesday in his first game back following a lengthy stay on the injured list, giving up four runs in 1.1 frames against Houston. He looked better Saturday, though he was limited to 2.1 innings despite tossing a modest 47 pitches. That was always the plan for the right-hander -- Rangers manager Bruce Bochy had indicated prior to the outing that Eovaldi was slated for 45-50 pitches due to the recency of his injury and the fact he was pitching on three days of rest. Eovaldi should work his way back up to a normal workload in time, and he is tentatively scheduled to make his next start in Toronto.

Eovaldi (11-4) took the loss Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk over 1.1 innings against the Astros. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
After being sidelined since mid-July with a forearm strain, Eovaldi's long-awaited return was certainly lackluster. He was pulled at 35 pitches and only managed to retire four batters, with just one coming via strikeout. Eovaldi gave up a pair of solo home runs to Jose Altuve as part of a four-run start, raising his ERA from 2.69 to 2.95 on the year. While Tuesday's struggles were uncharacteristic, Eovaldi is in line for another tough matchup next time out against the Blue Jays on the road.

Eovaldi (forearm) was activated from the 15-day injured list ahead of his start against the Astros on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 33-year-old has been sidelined by a forearm strain since mid-July and has finally been cleared to retake the mound for the Rangers, in what will be just his second start since the All-Star break. Eovaldi is returning without going out on a minor-league rehab assignment, so he'll likely have a limited pitch count in his first couple turns through the rotation. Prior to the injury, the right-hander was in the midst of the most effective campaign of his career with a 2.69 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 111:34 K:BB over 123.2 innings.
