Pearson allowed one hit over five scoreless innings while striking out nine for High-A Dunedin on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
The Jays' top pitching prospect is simply overmatching Florida State League hitters, posting a 0.75 ERA and 17:1 K:BB through his first three outings (12 IP). Pearson's already 22, so while he has limited pro innings so far due to injury, he could get a quick promotion to Double-A if he keeps delivering video game numbers. He's highly unlikely to climb the ladder all the way to the majors this year no matter how he pitches, but Pearson could put himself in the club's 2020 rotation plans with a big campaign.

Pearson (forearm) will pitch in the instructional league, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearson has been out since early make after a line drive broke his ulna. The 2017 first-round pick will wind up having pitched just 1.2 innings of minor-league ball this season, but he'll at least get some innings in the instructional league and then the Arizona Fall League.

Pearson (broken ulna) threw a bullpen session Monday, Mike Wilner of Sportsnet 590 The Fan reports.
EDGE Analysis
Everything went off without a hitch, and Pearson is expected to throw another side session later in the week before progressing to facing live hitters sometime next week. It's still unclear if the well-regarded prospect will have enough time to return to game action before the end of the season.

Pearson (broken ulna) says he will throw his first bullpen session Monday.
EDGE Analysis
He has been sidelined with the a broken ulna for 16 weeks, despite an initial 4-to-6 week estimated absence. Pearson suffered the injury in his first start of the season, so he has been unable to build on the hype that surrounded him this past offseason. He is still one of the Blue Jays' best prospects, but is running out of time to return to game action this season.

Pearson is expected to miss four-to-six weeks while recovering from the broken ulna he sustained in Monday's contest.
EDGE Analysis
It's certainly not ideal given the 21-year-old missed the early part of the season with an oblique injury, but at least there's a reasonable timetable for his return. Pearson allowed two runs in 1.2 innings in his first start of the season Monday, and despite rave reviews heading into the season, those watching his appearance noted that his fastball was straight and elevated, which led to a lot of hard contact.

Pearson suffered a broken ulna in Monday's debut for High-A Dunedin, Jason Woodell of Baseball Prospectus reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was hit by a comebacker in the second inning of his first start of the season after missing the first month with an oblique injury. It's a tough pill to swallow for the Blue Jays and Pearson's dynasty league owners, as the aggressive assignment to the Florida State League lined up with the hyperbolic scouting reports on the 21-year-old righty from this offseason. He gave up two runs on five hits while recording one strikeout in 1.2 innings before exiting, as Woodell reports Pearson's mid-90s fastball was straight and elevated, leading to hard contact. Consider him out indefinitely.

Pearson left Monday's High-A matchup after taking a line drive in the arm.
EDGE Analysis
Pearson was just added to High-A Dunedin's roster Monday after returning from an oblique injury. He was removed from the game after suffering an arm injury on a line drive back to the mound during the second inning, although it's unclear if he was hit on his pitching arm. More information on his status should surface after further evaluation.

Pearson (oblique) was added to High-A Dunedin's roster Monday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 21-year-old junior college product has been out since early April with an oblique issue, but it seems like a bit of extra time at extended spring training was enough to get him back to 100 percent. Pearson will now join Dunedin's rotation after producing a stellar 0.95 ERA and 24:5 K:BB in 19 innings for Low-A Vancouver last season.

Pearson (oblique) will take the hill for Wednesday's extended spring training game, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearson has been sidelined with an oblique strain for the past few weeks but is finally ready to get back on the mound for live game action down in Florida. The right-hander could partake in a second spring training outing before returning to the High-A level, though an update on his status should be available following Wednesday's game.

Pearson has been dealing with an oblique strain and may see game action in early May, John Lott of The Athletic Toronto reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pearson was reportedly dealing with a minor back issue, but Lott reports the young pitcher started the season with the oblique strain. The 21-year-old has been throwing bullpen sessions and could be nearing his season debut for High-A Dunedin.
