Moustakas (thumb) is back in the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
After missing two straight games due to a swollen thumb, Moustakas will reclaim his usual spot at third base Wednesday and bat second in the order against Washington's Stephen Strasburg. Wednesday marks the first time Moustakas has faced Strasburg, but he has had some success against righties this season, belting six of his seven home runs against them.

Moustakas is not in Tuesday's lineup due to a swollen thumb, Rustin Dodd of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas' injury is only minor, according to manager Ned Yost, and there is a chance he could play Tuesday if needed even though he will not start. Moustakas should have a chance to return to action Wednesday, but he faces a quick turnaround with the Royals playing an early afternoon affair.

Moustakas is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Nationals, Josh Vernier of 610 Sports Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's a bit surprising, as this will be the second day in a row Moustakas takes a seat, and Tuesday's matchup comes against the right-handed Tanner Roark. There's no indication as of now that anything is wrong though, and Christian Colon will once again draw the start at the hot corner in his stead.

Moustakas is not in the starting lineup against the Nationals on Monday, 610 AM in Kansas City reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a tough lefty on the mound in Washington's Gio Gonzalez, Moustakas will take a seat while Christian Colon draws into the lineup to play third base and bat eighth for manager Ned Yost.

Moustakas stayed hot Friday versus Baltimore, going 3-for-4 with a home run, two doubles and three RBI.
EDGE Analysis
Moose has come to life during his current five-game hitting streak, during which he has raked at a .450 clip with three home runs and five RBI. He finally broke out as a fantasy force in 2015 and seems headed in that direction once again after struggling to begin the season.

Moustakas went 1-for-4 with a solo homer Sunday at the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas' fourth blast of the season gave the Royals and early two-run lead in a game they'd go on to lose. He's now homered in two of his last three games, and despite a .217 batting average, he moved his OPS up to .802.

Moustakas (hamstring) will return to the Royals' lineup in Saturday's matchup with the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas got the night off Friday to rest a sore hamstring that has been bothering him. The rest appears to have payed off as he is feeling well enough to return to the Royals' lineup Saturday. He will bat second in the order.

Manager Ned Yost announced that Moustakas will get the night off Friday due to a sore hamstring, Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com reprots.
EDGE Analysis
The Royals will have a different look than usual Friday with Moustakas being replaced at third base by Christian Colon, who will bat eighth in the order. Colon entered Thursday's game as a pinch-runner for Moustakas, but it wasn't immediately apparent that Moustakas was dealing with a hamstring injury. Friday's night off for Moustakas is likely a precautionary measure to keep him fresh and avoid pushing him too quickly after tweaking his hamstring, so look for him to draw back into the order later in this weekend's series.

Moustakas is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the A's.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear at this point as to why Moustakas, who has played in every game this season, is out of the lineup for Friday's series opener against Oakland. It's possible that manager Ned Yost is simply limiting wear and tear on his cornerstone infielder, or that he merely wanted to get Christian Colon some playing time. It is worth noting, however, that Colon came on to replace Moustakas late in Thursday's contest with Houston. More information on Moustakas' status figures to be made available later Friday.

Moustakas went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's win over Houston.
EDGE Analysis
Moustakas has now reached base safely in all but two games this season and he's up to three home runs in his last six contests. He's firmly entrenched as the Royals' No.2 hitter, and although Alcides Escobar's early season slump is limiting Moustakas' RBI chances, his ability to get on base in front of the likes of Lorenzo Cain and Eric Hosmer ought to give the Moose plenty of opportunities to come around to score moving forward.
