Braves recalled LHP Mike Minor from Triple-A Gwinnett.
Minor will start on Sunday against the Mets, taking the spot of the injured Jair Jurrjens (knee). The left-hander has been up-and-down in his six starts for the Braves this season but has been terrific at Triple-A, boasting a 3.22 ERA and 1.19 WHIP while striking out a batter per inning. He's worth a flier in deeper mixed leagues.

The New York Post's Joel Sherman reports the Mets were "were paying particular attention" to Mike Minor during his start for Triple-A Gwinnett on Thursday.
Presumably, the Mets are doing their due diligence in case the Braves make Minor the part of an offer for Carlos Beltran. Minor has somewhat fallen off the map in Atlanta thanks to the Braves' sheer volume of upper end pitching prospects, but is still in the midst of an excellent season for Gwinnett, and remains one of the better left-handed pitching prospects in all of baseball. He'd be a nice get for the Mets in any potential Beltran deal.

Braves optioned LHP Mike Minor to Triple-A Gwinnett.
Minor had his best start of the season Tuesday, but the Braves don't need a fifth starter for a while and when they do, they anticipate Tommy Hanson being ready. Minor will hone his skills at Triple-A.

Mike Minor got knocked around by the Mets Thursday, surrendering five runs on seven hits and three walks over only 4 1/3 innings before escaping with a no-decision in the 9-8 extra innings win.
The Braves spotted the lefty a 6-2 lead, but Minor fell apart in the fifth inning, allowing a pair of walks and a single before Scott Proctor came on and served up a three-run bomb. He had put up three straight quality outings, but it's worth noting that they came against the Pirates, Padres and Astros. Minor will try to rebound the next time out against the Blue Jays, though it could be his last start before Brandon Beachy returns.
