Conforto will have season-ending shoulder surgery within the next few days, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After getting a second opinion on the injury Tuesday, it became apparent that Conforto would need surgery on his torn posterior capsule in the left shoulder. This procedure will eliminate any chance for the outfielder to return this season, and he will begin the lengthy process of rehabbing and recovering for spring training. He could still be a bit limited by that time, as this surgery typically sidelines a player for 4-to-6 months, but he should be at full health by Opening Day, barring any setbacks. In his place, Juan Lagares will likely man center field for the club throughout the rest of the 2017 campaign.

Conforto will get a second opinion on his dislocated shoulder Tuesday, James Wagner of The New York Times reports. Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The first opinion suggested that Conforto's torn posterior capsule in his left shoulder would require surgery. The Mets are hoping for good news, but the combination of that injury and a dislocated shoulder for Conforto means his season is likely over. Any news to the contrary should be considered a surprise; if he requires surgery, Conforto will be out 4-to-6 months.

Conforto will have his shoulder examined further Monday, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following Monday's appointment, it will likely be easier to understand if Conforto will return this season and whether or not surgery will be required to repair his injured shoulder. With Conforto on the disabled list, Brandon Nimmo is starting in right field for Friday's game against the Nationals.

The Mets placed Conforto (shoulder) on the 10-day disabled list Friday, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
The club is still trying to determine whether Confroto can return this season, as they're weighing surgery to fix his shoulder, which suffered a dislocation and torn posterior capsule. The Mets activated Jeurys Familia in a corresponding roster move.

Conforto not only suffered a dislocated left shoulder but also a torn posterior capsule in the left shoulder as well, an injury that may require surgery, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
With just a dislocation, it sounded like a return this season for Conforto would still be plausible. This news, however, greatly diminishes those odds. Expect him to get a second opinion before opting for surgery, but given the severity of this injury, it's hard to imagine rest and rehabilitation would get him back in time for the end of the season either.

Conforto exited Thursday's game with a dislocated left shoulder, MLB.com's Joe Trezza reports.
EDGE Analysis
Following a seemingly standard swing-and-miss at the plate, Conforto fell to the ground and was removed from Thursday's matinee while clutching his left shoulder. The team has initially ruled the freak injury as a dislocated left shoulder, but he will likely undergo further tests within the next couple hours. A timetable has not yet been established by the club, but this is the type of injury that could jeopardize Conforto's availability for the rest of the season.

Conforto (thumb) is starting in right field and batting third Wednesday against the Diamondbacks.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto was scratched from Tuesday's contest due to a thumb issue, but the 24-year-old never thought it was anything serious, and he's back in action after missing just one game. He'll face Zack Godley in his return to the lineup.

Conforto was scratched from Tuesday's lineup with a thumb issue, Marc Carig of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Conforto apparently tweaked his thumb during pregame warmups, and the issue will keep him out of the contest. According to Carig, Conforto doesn't believe it's anything more than minor inflammation from overuse, so it doesn't sound like he'll be sidelined for too long. Consider him day-to-day. Matt Reynolds is now playing right field, batting sixth.

Conforto went 2-for-4 with a solo home run during Monday's loss to Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
The homer pulled the Mets to within a run in the bottom of the 10th inning, but Fernando Rodney was able to rebound and lock down the save. Conforto continues to impress and now has 13 homers through 37 second-half games. He's up to a .278/.385/.559 slash line for the campaign and has established himself as a set-and-forget fantasy option in the majority of settings.
