Johnson is out of the lineup Wednesday, the Chicago Sun-Times' Daryl Van Schouwen reports.
The White Sox are going with a righy-heavy lineup with lefty Danny Duffy on the mound Wednesday. Carlos Sanchez therefore gets the start and will bat ninth. There may come a time this year when Johnson is entrusted to start against all pitchers, but apparently we're not there yet.

Johnson has been named the Opening Day starter at second base, Dan Hayes of CSN Chicago reports.
Johnson seems to be earning respect fast at the big league level, which can at least be partially attributed to a spring in which he slashed .339/.391/.475 in 59 at-bats. He's now officially beaten Carlos Sanchez out for the job, and projects to be a fixture in the White Sox lineup until further notice. The 24-year-old may not bring much power to the table, but should be a steady source of steals at the middle infield position, provided he can continue to get on base in the majors.

Johnson will be on the Opening Day roster, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
The news doesn't come as much of a surprise as manager Robin Ventura indicated Monday that Johnson was the leader in the competition for the starting second baseman role, but there was still the possibility that he'd start the year in the minors. The 25-year-old has yet to be officially named the starter, but not much has changed since Monday to suggest Ventura's thinking has changed.

Manager Robin Ventura has still not named a starting second baseman for the 2015 season, but he called Johnson the "leader" for the role Sunday, the Chicago Tribunea reports.
Johnson had two hits and a stolen base in Sunday's game against the A's, to give him a .347/.396/.490 line with three steals on the spring. There is little time left in camp for Johnson to lose the role to Carlos Sanchez, who may still make the club as a utility player. If the current status holds, then Johnson should provide fantasy owners with good speed, even if he does bat ninth in the White Sox's order.
