The Dodgers optioned Johnson to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson was called up Saturday to take the roster spot vacated by Carl Crawford's (back) placement on the disabled list, but he will head back to Oklahoma City with Howie Kendrick (calf) due to return to the big club Tuesday. Johnson could join the Dodgers again later this season, but the team does have plenty of options at second base when everyone is healthy.

Johnson was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma on Saturday, Ken Gurnick of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson will come up to take the place of Carl Crawford, who hit the DL on Saturday with stiffness in his lower back. Johnson figures to primarily provide depth in the infield as a backup to Howie Kendrick and Chase Utley.

Johnson was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Andy McCullough of the Los Angeles Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Despite getting off to a great start this spring, slashing .357/.357/.393 through 28 at-bats, Johnson was among the players optioned in Thursday's round of cuts. He'll start the season at Triple-A Oklahoma City, but with the likes of Howie Kendrick and Chase Utley manning second base for the Dodgers, Johnson could be a prime candidate for a call-up if either veteran lands on the disabled list.

Johnson was 3-for-4 against the Brewers Monday and is now batting .370 with a team-leading 10 hits.
EDGE Analysis
With Howie Kendrick back on a two-year contract, Johnson appears slated for Triple-A to begin the season, but there should be an opportunity for him at some point this season.

Johnson received stitches in his left hand after a mishap that occurred while he was removing the pit from an avocado, Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register reports.
EDGE Analysis
He's expected to miss approximately one week, which shouldn't impact his ability to compete for a spot on the 25-man roster to begin the season. If nothing else, Johnson has successfully contributed a chapter to baseball's most unusual injuries list. The Dodgers' reunion with Howie Kendrick in recent weeks may steer the team to give Johnson everyday at-bats at Triple-A to begin the season.

Johnson was traded to the Dodgers on Wednesday as part of a massive seven-player, three-team trade, CBS Sports' Jon Heyman reports.
EDGE Analysis
He goes from one murky situation at the keystone to another in Los Angeles. Enrique Hernandez and Chase Utley remain with the Dodgers after this deal, so Johnson could have his work cut out for him to crack the 25-man roster out of spring training. If he ever received regular at-bats, his speed would be valuable in fantasy leagues, but it looks like he may just be an organizational depth piece for the Dodgers. Johnson recently underwent arthroscopic surgery on his left knee to remove some scar tissue, but he should be ready for the start of spring training. Trayce Thompson and Frankie Montas also go to the Dodgers from Chicago as part of the three-team deal. In addition, the trade sends Todd Frazier from the Reds to the White Sox, while the Reds received Jose Peraza, Brandon Dixon, and Scott Schebler from the Dodgers.

Johnson underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his left knee Thursday morning.
EDGE Analysis
Johnson had some scar tissue removed, and a "structurally sound" knee was discovered underneath. The team expects him to be ready to compete for an infield spot without restrictions by spring training.

Johnson will undergo arthroscopic knee surgery Thursday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's unclear exactly when Johnson's knee issue occurred, but the procedure will effectively end his 2015 campaign. He should be ready for the start of spring training in 2016, where he'll compete with Carlos Sanchez for playing time at second base.

Johnson will start at second base for the fifth time in seven games Saturday against the Indians.
EDGE Analysis
If the recent playing time trends are any indication, White Sox manager Robin Ventura seems to have settled on Johnson as his preferred choice at second base over Carlos Sanchez, who has offered barely any offensive production from that spot this season. Johnson has a rather modest .320 on-base percentage over 105 plate appearances, but that mark still tops Sanchez by a significant margin. In addition, Johnson is much more of a game breaker on the bases, which should allow him to gain further separation from Sanchez in the job battle over the final two weeks.

Johnson was recalled from Triple-A Charlotte on Tuesday, Doug Padilla of ESPN Chicago reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the Triple-A season now over, Johnson will return to the White Sox, for whom he's played 27 games this season, hitting .270 with three stolen bases. Johnson, 24, is expected to compete with Carlos Sanchez for playing time at second base over the season's final three weeks.
