Moroff was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Moroff managed to pick up his first MLB hit in his brief time in the majors, but with David Freese and Adam Frazier returning from injury Friday, Moroff's services were no longer needed in Pittsburgh. The infield prospect will head back to the minors to build off the .891 OPS he posted in 24 games prior to his callup.

Moroff was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
As expected, Moroff was added to the 25-man roster in time for Monday's series opener against the Dodgers. The Pirates are wasting no time deploying him, either, as the 23-year-old is batting eighth and playing second base Monday. Phil Gosselin was sent back to Triple-A in a corresponding roster move.

Moroff is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Monday, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moroff appeared in two games for the Pirates last season, going 0-for-2 with two strikeouts before being sent back to Indianapolis. After a strong start with Indy in 2017, slashing .258/.345/.546 with eight homers through 24 games, the 23-year-old is set to rejoin the Pirates for his second big-league stint, though this one could prove to be as brief as the first. With the Pirates battling through some injuries, Moroff will provide a needed boost to Pittsburgh's struggling bench (John Jaso, Alen Hanson, and Phil Gosselin are all batting below .200). A corresponding roster move should be announced once the move is official.

Moroff was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Moroff was just 3-for-26 at the dish this spring, but when he did get on base he made the most of it, collecting two stolen bases. The 23-year-old made his Major League debut last year and was hitless in two plate appearances, and is likely destined for the minors for the bulk of 2017.

Moroff was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Thursday, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
The move was made in order to clear room on the 25-man roster for Ryan Vogelsong who's starting Thursday's game. Moroff made just two plate appearances during his first brief stint in the majors and will now head back to Triple-A Sacramento where he's compiled a .229/.360/.368 slash line over 101 games this season.

Moroff was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis on Sunday, Stephen J. Nesbitt of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Steven Brault being optioned to Indianapolis, Moroff will make his first appearance with the big club. Moroff has a poor batting average of .229 at Indianapolis, however, that hasn't deterred him from getting on base, as he's posted a 16.4 percent walk rate and .360 on-base percentage.

Moroff has a .214/.338/.368 line after 117 at-bats over the course of 39 games with Triple-A Indianapolis this season.
EDGE Analysis
Having quickly risen through the ranks of the Pirates organization since being drafted in 2012, it appears as if Moroff's ascent to the show may be delayed. After finishing last season with a .293 batting average at Double-A Altoona, Moroff's decline to hitting .214 is somewhat troublesome, however there are signs of promise in his game. In his minor league career, Moroff has never hit more than eight home runs in a season, yet he's already hit four in 2016. Expect Moroff's batting average to improve as the season continues, but it's too early to speculate if he'll reach his 2015 numbers.
