Moore grabbed the win in Thursday's Grapefruit League game against the Braves, allowing two runs on three hits in 2.1 innings of work. He didn't walk anyone and struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Moore has now tossed 4.1 innings this spring across two starts, picking up a win in each outing and striking out four. The lefty endured a disastrous 2018 with Texas, posting a 6.79 ERA and 1.66 WHIP over 102 innings, but without a ton of other great options in Detroit's rotation, Moore could lock himself in if he finds some success early in the season.

Moore left the Tigers' spring camp Tuesday due to the impending birth of his child, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moore is expected to be away from the team for the next few days to spend time with his wife and the newest addition to their family. The missed time shouldn't but him too far behind the rest of the Tigers' other pitchers, though it could result in him making one or two fewer starts in Grapefruit League play. Guaranteed $2.5 million this season after striking a deal with Detroit in November, Moore is likely in the driver's seat for a back-end rotation spot but will be far from a dependable fantasy option after delivering a 6.79 ERA and 1.66 WHIP across 102 frames with Texas in 2018.

Moore agreed to a one-year contract with the Tigers on Tuesday, Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
According to Passan, the deal -- which is still pending a physical -- guarantees Moore between $2 and $3 million dollars. The southpaw struggled in 2018, posting a 6.79 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 across 102 innings for the Rangers. He notched an 8.02 ERA through 12 starts last season before being dropped from the rotation, so it's unclear what role he'll fill for the Tigers. He owns a 5.22 ERA and 7.7 K/9 over the last four seasons, so he doesn't figure to carry much fantasy value regardless of his role.

The Rangers declined Moore's $10 million option for 2019 on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as no surprise, as Moore struggled mightily in 2018, posting a 6.79 ERA, 1.66 WHIP and 7.6 K/9 across 102 innings. The southpaw was dropped from the team's rotation in June after posting an 8.02 ERA across 12 starts. Given his ugly 5.22 ERA and 1.47 WHIP over the past four seasons, his days as a viable major-league starter appear to be over.

Moore allowed two hits and four walks while striking out six over 4.1 innings of relief in Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Moore entered this one early when Cole Hamels was chased after giving up seven runs in two-thirds of an inning. Since being yanked from the starting rotation, the left-hander has pitched mostly as a long reliever. He's allowed five runs on nine hits and six walks while striking out 13 over 12.2 innings, spanning five appearances. In four of those five appearances, Moore has pitched at least two innings.

Moore has been removed from the starting rotation and shifted to a bullpen role, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
He'll no longer make his scheduled start over the weekend, though the Rangers have yet to announce his replacement in the rotation. This isn't all too surprising, as Moore struggled mightily through 12 starts this season, compiling an 8.02 ERA and 41:26 K:BB across 55 innings of work. He tossed a scoreless inning of relief in his lone appearance out of the bullpen this season, so maybe he'll fare better in a long-relief role.

Manager Jeff Banister reported Tuesday that Moore may not make his next turn through the rotation, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rangers are noncommittal on Moore's current spot in the starting rotation, as the veteran maintains a brutal 7.88 ERA and 2.04 WHIP on the year. If he is indeed bumped from the rotation, minor leaguers Austin Bibens-Dirkx and Yovani Gallardo appear to be realistic candidates to make a spot start in his place.

Moore allowed six runs (five earned) on nine hits and one wak while failing to register a strikeout across three innings Sunday against the Astros. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Moore couldn't survive his first pitch without allowing an earned run, as George Springer drove a home run to center field on Moore's opening offering of the game. Things didn't improve much from there for him, as he allowed three more extra-base hits before being chased after three innings. This start marked the fourth time in 12 starts that Moore has failed to complete at least four innings of work and he now has a horrendous 7.88 ERA to go along with a 2.04 WHIP through 56 frames this season.

Moore allowed five runs (four earned) on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts through 5.1 innings in a no-decision Wednesday against Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Moore's control got the best of him in the fourth inning, as he walked two batters, threw a wild pitch and suffered a passed ball in a three-run frame that derailed his bid at a quality start. Moore was nasty at times, as he induced 12 swinging strikes in 108 pitches, and the fact that he was able to bounce back with a scoreless fifth shows the knee injury that sent him to the disabled list briefly isn't much of a concern. Unfortunately, Moore hasn't been able to put it all together for a full start often enough in 2018, as he owns a brutal 7.85 ERA. He'll try to push that in the right direction next time out Tuesday against Oakland.

Moore (knee) has been reinstated from the 10-day disabled list ahead of Wednesday's start against Seattle, John Blake of the Texas Rangers reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moore is scheduled to make his 10th start of the season after returning from a short stint on the disabled list. He'll look to improve on a disappointing start to the season, as he's accrued a 7.99 ERA and 2.02 WHIP with 33 strikeouts over 41.2 innings. Austin Bibens-Dirkx has been sent down in a corresponding move.
