Moore surrendered a hit, three earned runs and three walks over three innings in Friday's 9-4 spring loss to the Pirates. He struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Moore looked somewhat shaky in his final tune-up, but remains satisfied with how the exhibition slate turned out. "I was pretty happy with the results and how we worked the process the whole time," Moore said. "I thought my in-between days -- my work days on the side -- were good. I think we have a good foundation heading into the season." The 26-year-old made it through spring training unscathed with respect to his surgically repaired elbow, and posted a 3.38 ERA and 14 strikeouts over 13.1 spring innings.

Moore will pitch in a minor-league camp game on Sunday for his next scheduled start, Marc Topkin of Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old southpaw has been impressive over 10.1 spring innings, and has generated a 1.74 ERA over three exhibition starts. As he opted to do with ace Chris Archer, manager Kevin Cash will have Moore face minor-league hitting as opposed to a division rival in the Blue Jays, the big-league club's opponent on Sunday.

Moore (1-0) threw six scoreless innings of six-hit ball in Tuesday's 4-1 exhibition victory over the Cuban National Team. He walked a batter and struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Moore continued building on what has been an outstanding spring, now having surrendered just two earned runs over 16.1 spring innings. The 26-year-old southpaw's arm appears primed for the rigors of the regular season, and fully recovered from April 2014 Tommy John surgery. Moore figures to have one more extended start, likely on Sunday, before making an abbreviated appearance prior to the conclusion of the exhibition slate.

Moore surrendered five hits and an earned run over 4.2 innings in Thursday's spring outing versus the Phillies. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
He looked dominant in mowing through the Phillies lineup, and induced six ground balls for all of his non-strikeout outs. His only blemish was the solo homer he gave up to Ryan Howard in the fourth inning, the second long ball he's surrendered this spring. Moore now has 11 strikeouts over 10.1 exhibition frames, and has posted an impressive 1.78 ERA through three starts.

Moore has been announced as the starter for the Rays' exhibition against the Cuban National Team on Mar. 22, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The southpaw has been one of the bright spots of the Rays staff in spring training, building on the momentum he generated over the final month of the 2015 season. Moore finished September with a 2-1 record that was accompanied by a sterling 2.97 ERA, and has generated an even more impressive 1.59 figure over 5.2 spring training innings. The 26-year-old's command has been sharp over his first pair of appearances, an indication that his arm could be back at full strength following his April 2014 Tommy John surgery.

Manager Kevin Cash was impressed with Moore's first bullpen session of the spring, Rays Insider Steve Carney reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cash did not elaborate on Moore, but Moore made a total of just 14 starts for the Rays over the last two seasons, so it's a good sign that he is ready to go as spring training begins. It's not yet clear where he will slot into the Rays' rotation to open the season, but he will be a lock for a spot as long as he is healthy.

Moore pitched seven strong innings on Tuesday against the Marlins, surrendering seven hits, an earned run and a walk. He struck out three but did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
It was a third straight quality start for Moore, who had posted a robust 8.42 ERA over his first eight appearances of the season after returning from Tommy John surgery. Moore has now given up only three earned runs over 20.2 innings in his last three trips to the mound, good for a sparking 1.34 ERA. He has also completely stayed away from the long ball during that span, and has lowered his ERA from an unsightly 8.04 to 5.84 during the month of September. Moore appears to be capping off 2015 with some much-needed positive momentum that he can hopefully carry over into next season.

Moore will make his next start Tuesday against the Marlins, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Moore was scheduled to make his next start Sunday, but he will receive an extra day of rest between his starts. As a result, Matt Andriese will make a spot start Sunday in his place, while Moore will be pushed back to Tuesday. While it's possible Moore will make another start before the end of the season, it's also possible Tuesday will be his last go around.

Moore gave up two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out seven over 6.2 innings Tuesday against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
He settled down after allowing two runs in the first inning en route to his first win since July 12. Moore's 6.48 ERA really does not come close to telling the whole story with regard to his 2015 campaign, as there have been times when he has pitched like a mid-rotation starter. He will be almost two full years removed from Tommy John surgery on Opening Day in 2016, and will make for a high-upside mid-to-late round pick next year. Moore should make two more starts this season, with both coming against the Blue Jays, the first of which will be Sunday in Toronto.

Moore turned in seven dominant innings Thursday, striking out nine Orioles while allowing no runs on two hits and zero walks, but was stuck with a no-decision.
EDGE Analysis
Alex Colome came in and gave up four runs in the eighth inning to blow the game, depriving Moore of a win in what was easily his best start of the year. This was a version of Moore that we hadn't seen in a long time, so this outing qualifies as wonderful news for his fantasy owners. He next faces a Boston team that scored six runs off him Aug. 1 and eight (six earned) last Saturday -- if he can turn things around Tuesday against the Red Sox, he'll put himself squarely on the radar for next year.
