Matt Holliday (thigh) is back in the Cardinals' starting lineup Friday against the Cubs. Holliday was held out of the lineup Wednesday after being hit in the leg during Tuesday's game, but he felt well enough to pinch hit. He should be good to go moving forward.

Matt Holliday (thigh) is not in Wednesday's lineup against the Brewers. Holliday left Tuesday's game with a left thigh contusion after being hit in the leg by a pitch. It doesn't sound serious, but we should hear an update on his status at some point on Wednesday. Consider him day-to-day for now. Matt Carpenter is starting in his place in left field.
