Williams signed a minor-league contract with the Orioles on Friday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
After being released by the Reds during spring training, Williams found a new home with the Orioles at Triple-A Norfolk. In 2018, the outfielder appeared in 51 games for the Reds, posting a slash line of .293/.331/.398 to go along with two home runs and six RBI. It's possible the organization could wind up giving Williams some opportunities at the major league level, but he'll need to improve his hitting across the board in order for that to occur.

Williams was among 12 players sent by the Reds to their minor league camp on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Though Williams played 51 games with the big club last season, he signed a minor league deal this offseason and never really had a chance to make the Opening Day roster following the trade that brought Yasiel Puig and Matt Kemp over from the Dodgers.

Williams signed a minor-league contract with the Reds on Wednesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams appeared in 51 games for the Reds in 2018, slashing .293/.331/.398 with two homers and six RBI in 132 plate appearances. The 27-year-old will likely spend the year as organizational outfield depth.

Williams was outrighted to Triple-A Louisville on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Dilson Herrera was also outrighted to Louisville, which will allow the Reds to protect two younger prospects from the Rule 5 draft by adding them to the 40-man roster. Williams played in 51 games for Cincinnati this past year, hitting .293/.331/.398 with two home runs and six RBI in 132 plate appearances.

Williams went 3-for-3 with three singles Saturday during the Reds' 3-0 win over the Pirates. He was also caught stealing.
EDGE Analysis
Williams' trio of one-baggers brought his major-league slash up to .298/.336/.405 with two homers for the 2018 season. Combined with his .280/.341/.418 line at Triple-A Louisville -- his fourth season at the level, first with the Reds -- it shows the 27-year-old isn't a significant power threat. Contact and the possibility for double-digit stolen bases fuel any chance he'd have at earning at least part-time starting duties in the bigs. He might chip his way into a roster spot with Cincinnati or another club next season and remains a long-term watch candidate in many deep fantasy games.

Williams hit his second home run of the season Thursday, a seventh inning pinch-hit solo shot in the loss to the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Williams has played sparingly, but he has made the most of his appearances, going three for his last three and hitting .301 overall on the season. He has also seen at least one at-bat in 11 straight games, but the majority of them have been pinch hitting as he's only seen three starts over that span. Williams remains a bench bat with limited upside and should only be looked at in deeper leagues.

Williams stands to lose even more playing time now that Scott Schebler is off the DL, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Reds want to give Phillip Ervin full-time playing time in left field, so both Williams and Preston Tucker will come off the bench, rather than platoon with Ervin.

Williams is out of the lineup Sunday against the Giants, C. Trent Rosecrans of The Athletic Cincinnati reports.
EDGE Analysis
Williams is on the bench for the third time in four games and seems to have fallen behind Phillip Ervin on the depth chart in right field. Playing time will only become more difficult to come by for Williams when Scott Schebler (shoulder) is reinstated from the disabled list, which is expected to happen as soon as Thursday.

Williams went 2-for-4 with an RBI in Sunday's loss to the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Williams managed to get the Reds into the scoring column during the fourth inning on a single to right field, but they'd ultimately fall 2-1. The 26-year-old outfielder finished the weekend series going 5-for-13 with two doubles and one RBI over four games. Through nine matchups this season, Williams is hitting .379 with a homer and four RBI.

Williams will start in center field and bat fifth Sunday against the Phillies, Bobby Nightengale of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The season-ending injury to Jesse Winker (shoulder) paved the way for Williams to join the big club, and the 26-year-old will draw his third consecutive start Sunday. Williams' comfort with playing all three outfield spots should help his case for playing time in the short term, but he'll likely see his opportunities fall by the wayside once Scott Schebler (shoulder) returns from the disabled list.
