Gonzalez went 1-for-4 with an RBI in Monday's 3-2 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez tacked on a run in the third inning on an RBI single to center field. He's been struggling at the dish of late, going 4-for-29 with a double, a home run and two RBI over his previous 10 games, although he missed time with an oblique issue at the beginning of the month. He sports a .247/.322/.413 slash line with 15 homers and 60 RBI through 131 contests in 2018.

Gonzalez (oblique) is starting in left field and batting sixth Sunday against the Red Sox, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez had been out since Monday with an oblique issue, but after pinch running Saturday, the Astros felt he was healthy enough to get back into the starting nine Sunday. As long as the oblique doesn't bark at him any more, he should continue to be a staple of the Houston lineup with his 14 homers and 58 RBI.

Gonzalez (oblique) entered Saturday's game as a pinch runner and took over as designated hitter in a win over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez entered the game in the ninth inning and never had a chance to bat. He's been held out of the starting lineup for the last four games, but his appearance Saturday suggests he could return to the starting lineup Sunday.

Gonzalez (oblique) is not in the lineup against the Red Sox on Saturday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez will remain out of the starting lineup for a fourth straight game as he continues to nurse a right oblique injury. Prior to Friday's game, manager A.J. Hinch said Gonzalez was "trending in the right direction" and thought he had a chance to start Saturday, so it doesn't look like he will be out for too much longer.

Gonzalez (oblique) took batting practice Friday and may be available to play Saturday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez has missed Houston's last three games after he was pulled from the first inning of Monday's win over the Angels with what the club described as "oblique discomfort." Manager A.J. Hinch said the super utility player was "trending in the right direction" and could possibly start in left field Saturday against the Red Sox.

Gonzalez (oblique) is out of the lineup against Boston on Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gonzalez will stay on the bench for a third straight game after leaving Monday's contest against the Twins due to right oblique discomfort. Though manager A.J. Hinch initially ruled him out for the rest of that series, he thought there was a chance Gonzalez would be ready to play for the opener of the Astros' three-game set in Boston on Friday. Even though that isn't the case, Gonzalez should be considered day-to-day ahead of Saturday's tilt.
