Gore gave up three runs in three innings in an intrasquad game Monday night, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore's performance wasn't a disaster -- he struck out Fernando Tatis and used his pickoff move to trap two players in rundowns -- but, per Acee, the 21-year-old worked from behind throughout the outing and struggled with his command after his first inning. Of course, it's unwise to read too much into the stud prospect's performance in his first intrasquad outing of summer camp, and there remains a tangible possibility that Gore could factor into the team's MLB plans at some point in 2020.

Gore will be part of the Padres' 60-man summer camp.
EDGE Analysis
While Gore is not on the 40-man roster, his inclusion in the Padres' 60-man player pool was an inevitability. He is one of the game's top pitching prospects and is fairly close to big-league ready. He finished the 2019 season with a solid five-start run at Double-A and has never pitched at Triple-A. Gore is a wild card for redraft leagues, as he is not guaranteed a rotation spot at any point this season, but he has a very high ceiling if he were to enter the rotation at some point.

Gore could be called up to the Padres "fairly quickly, if not right away" if there is a 2020 season, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The organization's top pitching prospect struggled this spring before play was suspended, allowing three runs in 1.2 innings and notching a 2:2 K:BB. Nonetheless, Lin reports that scouts noted that he "wasn't far off," and the likelihood of expanded rosters increases Gore's chances of making his big-league debut at some point during the campaign.

Gore needed only eight pitches to register three outs in his spring training debut Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Gore, the majors' top pitching prospect, retired the side in order on a pair of grounders and a pop fly. The southpaw figures to open the season at the Double-A level, but he has progressed through the minors quickly and could find his way on the big-league club before long.

Gore is scheduled to make his Cactus League debut Thursday against the Mariners, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres' top pitching prospect has been fully healthy during his first big-league camp, but his lack of spring innings to date is likely just a measure to keep his workload in check. Though Gore doesn't look like he's being evaluated for a spot in the Opening Day rotation, the 21-year-old lefty could get a look with the big club at some point in 2020 if he proves he can handle upper-level minor-league competition. Gore is likely slated for a return to Double-A Amarillo to begin the campaign after he posted a 4.15 ERA and 25:8 K:BB in 21.2 innings with the affiliate following his July promotion from the California League.

Gore was invited to the Padres' major-league spring training Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Gore made his debut in Double-A last season, posting a 4.15 ERA with a 1.32 WHIP over 21.2 innings. While Gore probably won't open the season in the majors, he'll get the chance to work with the major-league coaching staff and could make his debut in the big leagues at some point in 2020 if he can continue to develop.

Gore was transferred from Double-A Amarillo to the AZL Padres on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The move is purely procedural, as Gore has reached his workload limit for the season and won't pitch in the Texas League playoffs. By moving the southpaw to rookie ball, Amarillo opens up a roster spot for another player. Gore finishes an exceptional season with a 9-2 record, 1.69 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 135:28 K:BB in 101 innings between two levels.

Gore is starting for Double-A Amarillo on Tuesday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore has not pitched since Aug. 2 as the Padres decided to limit his workload after injuries held him to only 60.2 innings in 2018. He has been throwing on the side, however, in anticipation of possibly participating in the Double-A playoffs. The Padres' top pitching prospect has compiled a 9-2 record along with a sterling 1.72 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 130:27 K:BB while holding batters to a .166 average in 19 minor-league starts this season.

Gore has been shut down for workload purposes, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
This isn't all too surprising, as the well-regarded prospect has already surpassed his innings total from an injury-marred 2018 campaign by nearly 40 frames. Gore will continue to pitch on a semi-regular schedule on the side to remain active, and the Padres haven't ruled out letting the 20-year-old return to action during the Double-A playoffs. Across 99.1 innings between High-A Lake Elsinore and Double-A Amarillo this season, Gore owns a stellar 1.72 ERA, 0.84 WHIP and 130:27 K:BB.

Gore was promoted to Double-A Amarillo on Tuesday, Dennis Lin of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore could hardly have performed better in 15 starts for High-A Lake Elsinore, posting an incredible 1.02 ERA and striking out 38.2 percent of opposing batters while walking just 6.9 percent. The 20-year-old is in line to make his big-league debut at some point in 2020 if his progress continues at a similar pace.
