Gore threw 6.2 shutout innings for High-A Lake Elsinore on Wednesday, giving up three hits, striking out nine and walking one.
EDGE Analysis
Gore has been tossing gems for the Storm all season, so this is nothing new, but this outing was notable in that it was the first time in the 20-year-old's professional career that he's hit the 100-pitch threshold. He's been virtually untouchable in the California League, as his latest brilliant outing leaves him with a 1.12 ERA, a 0.69 WHIP and a 101:17 K:BB in 72.1 innings.

Gore tossed a pair of scoreless innings for High-A Lake Elsinore on Wednesday, giving up one hit, striking out four and walking one.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres are carefully monitoring the workload of their highly touted pitching prospect, which is why this was an abbreviated outing. That figures to be a theme throughout the season for Gore, but the 20-year-old left-hander is proving to be a healthy step above the competition in the California League, as this scoreless effort lowers his ERA to 1.13 to go along with 77 strikeouts through 55.2 innings.

Gore struck out eight over five scoreless, no-hit innings Sunday in High-A Lake Elsinore's 8-0 win over Lancaster. He issued two walks and allowed no other baserunners in the 74-pitch outing.
EDGE Analysis
The Padres are overflowing with intriguing pitching prospects at multiple levels of the organization, but perhaps no hurler boasts as high of a ceiling as Gore. With the health issues that plagued him in 2018 now in the rear-view mirror, the 20-year-old lefty has taken off over his first six outings in the hitter-friendly California League. Gore has surrendered just four runs through 31.1 innings while posting a 45:6 K:BB and limiting opposing batters to a .143 average. A promotion to Double-A Amarillo could soon be in the cards for Gore if he continues to befuddle Cal League hitters in his subsequent outings.

Gore gave up one run on three hits over six innings for High-A Lake Elsinore on Tuesday, striking out nine with one walk, Bill Center of Padres.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore is dominating opponents through four starts for Lake Elsinore, as this outing gives him a 1.23 ERA, a 0.88 WHIP and 27 strikeouts over 22 innings. The 2017 first-round pick is showing why he's one of the team's more highly rated prospects, and is making a strong case for a promotion to Double-A in the early going.

Gore will open the 2019 season with High-A Lake Elsinore, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore will move up to the California League after compiling a 4.45 ERA, 1.31 WHIP and 74:18 K:BB in 60.2 innings for Low-A Fort Wayne last season before he was shut down in late August with a fingernail issue. He reported to camp at full strength and shouldn't be limited health-wise to begin the 2019 campaign, though the Padres will surely monitor the 20-year-old lefty's innings carefully throughout the season.

Gore was placed on the disabled list at Low-A Fort Wayne on Wednesday with a fingernail issue, Bill Center of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore has been on the DL three times this season, twice with blisters and now with a fingernail problem. When healthy, he's posted strong underlying stats (a 28.4 percent strikeout rate and a 6.9 percent walk rate) but a mediocre 4.45 ERA.

Gore has posted a 2.25 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 43:13 K:BB in 32 innings over his last seven starts at Low-A Fort Wayne.
EDGE Analysis
Gore has allowed no more than two earned runs in any of those outings and has covered at least five innings on five occasions. The 19-year-old lefty is one of several impressive arms in a deep Padres system and his minor-league results along with an arsenal that features four potential plus pitches make his upside as high as any of his organizational mates.

Gore tossed five innings and struck out a career-high 10 batters for Low-A Fort Wayne in its 2-1 loss to Peoria on Sunday. He gave up two runs on three hits and three walks in the outing.
EDGE Analysis
Gore has been magnificent since coming off the 7-day disabled list in early June, posting a 2.25 ERA and 35:10 K:BB over 28 innings in his seven starts. The 19-year-old has covered at least five frames in each of his last three turns and may not need much more development time at Fort Wayne before the Padres decide to test him with an assignment in the California League.

Gore (finger) struck out three over two no-hit innings in his return from the 7-day disabled list Sunday in Low-A Fort Wayne's 15-0 win over Lansing.
EDGE Analysis
Aside from a walk and hit batsman, Gore was flawless in his return from nearly a month-long absence due to a blister on his throwing hand. The lefty was limited to only 36 pitches Sunday, but he should see that count rise in his subsequent starts as he builds his arm up again following the layoff. Despite a bumpy start to his first taste of full-season ball, the 19-year-old remains a top pitching prospect in the San Diego system and one of the most highly touted hurlers in the lower levels of the minors.

Gore (finger) was activated from the 7-day disabled list Sunday, Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gore is set to come off the disabled list and start Sunday's game with Low-A Fort Wayne after missing roughly the past three weeks with a blister on his throwing hand. The 19-year-old southpaw held a 10.13 ERA (3.52 FIP) over eight innings prior to his placement on the DL.
