Gore (5-13) allowed three runs on three hits and two walks over five innings Tuesday, striking out three and taking a loss against the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage against Gore came in the third inning when Giancarlo Stanton cleared the bases with a three-run double. Outside of that frame, only one other Yankee reached scoring position against Gore. He took his first loss since Aug. 5, and he's now 1-5 over his last eight appearances. During that span, he's produced a 7.54 ERA over 37 innings, driving his season ERA up to 4.15. Gore has walked multiple batters in three straight starts and now owns a 173:55 K:BB across 147.1 frames. He's in line for a home matchup with the Marlins next week.

Gore didn't factor into the decision Thursday against the Mets, allowing three runs on six hits and four walks in 4.1 innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
It was just the third time all season that Gore was unable to make it through five innings, and each of those instances have come following the All-Star break. The All-Star left-hander is showing signs of fatigue since the second half began, submitting a 7.88 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 32:18 K:BB over his last seven outings (32 innings). Things are unlikely to get much easier for Gore in next week's scheduled appearance against the Yankees, who have a robust .990 OPS versus left-handed pitching since the beginning of August.

Gore did not factor into the decision in Friday's 6-2 loss to the Phillies, allowing two runs on four hits and two walks with seven strikeouts over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore overcame a 37-pitch first inning to notch his second straight quality start, throwing 57 of 91 pitches for strikes while generating 12 whiffs. The southpaw has been inconsistent since the All-Star break, allowing two earned runs or fewer in three of six outings but getting tagged for 22 runs in the other three. He'll carry a 4.04 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 165:49 K:BB across 138 innings into a home matchup with the Mets next week.

Gore (5-12) picked up the win Sunday against San Francisco, allowing three hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts over six scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore had lost his last four starts leading up to Sunday's outing, but he refound the elite form he had earlier in the campaign. He fanned double-digit hitters for the first time in 19 starts and delivered his first quality start in five outings. The 26-year-old yielded 23 runs in 15.2 innings with a 10:11 K:BB during that stretch. In 132 innings this season, Gore has a 4.09 ERA and a 158:47 K:BB. He's penciled in to make his next start against the Phillies over the weekend.

Gore (4-12) took the loss Tuesday against the Athletics, allowing eight runs on 12 hits and a walk over three innings. He did not record a strikeout.
EDGE Analysis
Gore had an abysmal performance, and it's continued a rough stretch that started in late June. He allowed two homers and five runs in the opening frame and was unable to straighten himself out, eventually getting pulled in the fourth after the first two batters reached base. His velocity has notably been down over his last four starts, and he's allowed 23 runs over that span while posting a 10:11 K:BB. Something doesn't seem right with Gore, but he's lined up for another start this weekend against the Giants.

Gore (4-11) took the loss Wednesday against Houston, allowing six runs on eight hits and a walk across 5.1 innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Five of the Astros' six runs against Gore came via the home-run ball -- Jose Altuve took Gore deep with two on and two outs in the second inning before Cooper Hummel added a two-run shot in the sixth. It's the third straight loss for Gore and his sixth in his last eight outings. The left-hander's seen his ERA rise to 3.80 with a 1.29 WHIP and 148:45 K:BB across 22 starts (123 innings) this season. Gore's name has surfaced in trade rumors ahead of Thursday's deadline, though he remains tentatively lined up for a home matchup with the A's next week, should he stay with the Nats.

Gore (4-10) took the loss against the Twins on Friday, allowing one run on one hit and six walks while striking out four across five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore had issues with his command all night long, which reared its ugly head in the fifth inning, when his two wild pitches allowed Matt Wallner to advance from first to third before being brought home on a sacrifice fly by Byron Buxton. That was the only run Gore yielded, but he still took the loss after the Nationals were blanked by Zebby Matthews and the Twins' bullpen. Gore has given up two earned runs or less in four of his last five starts and has a 3.52 ERA, 1.27 WHIP across 117.2 innings, with his 144 strikeouts tied with Hunter Brown and Dylan Cease for fourth most in the majors. Gore has taken the loss in five of his last seven starts, and he'll look to get back in the win column in his next outing, slated for next week on the road against the Astros.

Gore (4-9) took the loss against the Padres on Sunday, allowing eight runs on eight hits and three walks with two strikeouts over 2.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Gore allowed five runs in the first inning and never recovered in what was his worst outing of the season. He threw 46 of 75 pitches for strikes and generated just seven whiffs while allowing multiple homers for the first time since May 11. It was only the second time in 20 starts that the southpaw failed to complete at least five frames, and just the fourth time he's allowed more than three earned runs. He'll take a 3.59 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 140:38 K:BB across 112.2 innings into a road matchup with the Twins next weekend.

Gore (4-8) earned the win Wednesday against the Cardinals, giving up one run on five hits and one walk in six innings. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
The seven punchouts were Gore's most since his June 4 start. Wednesday also marked the sixth instance out of 19 outings where the 26-year-old southpaw fired at least six frames while yielding one run or fewer, and he's now gone at least five innings in nine consecutive appearances. Gore sports a 3.02 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 138:35 K:BB over 110.1 innings, which helped him garner his first career All-Star selection in 2025.

Gore will get extra rest before making his next start Wednesday in St. Louis, Mark Zuckerman of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old southpaw will get a full week between outings after tossing a career-high 111 pitches against the Tigers on July 2, marking his third straight start with 100-plus pitches. Gore also struck out a season-low two batters versus Detroit, so more time to recuperate seems warranted. He's still third in the NL on the season with 131 punchouts, and making a start Wednesday would put Gore on regular rest for his first All-Star Game appearance, should he get named to the squad.
