Jackson will transition to a setup role following the acquisition of Shane Greene, 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.
EDGE Analysis
This comes as no surprise, as Jackson has been shaky all season (17-for-24 in save chances with a 3.96 ERA and 1.42 WHIP in 50 innings) while Greene owns an impressive 1.18 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 43:12 in 38 innings on the year.

Jackson allowed two runs on two hits without recording an out during the ninth inning in a 5-4 extra-inning victory against the Nationals on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
The 27-year-old would sure like to face a different team. In his last three outings against the Nationals, Jackson has allowed seven runs in two innings. On Wednesday, he didn't officially receive a blown save, but Jackson allowed two hits to the two batters he faced, and then both runners scored against the next relief pitcher, which tied the game. With a couple bullpen additions at the trade deadline, it will be interesting to see if the Braves keep Jackson in the closer role. He has 17 saves with seven blown opportunities, a 3.96 ERA, 1.42 WHIP and 67 strikeouts in 50 innings this season.

Jackson gave up three runs on three hits and a walk in the ninth inning of Tuesday's win over the Nationals.
EDGE Analysis
Atlanta held an 11-5 win when Jackson took the mound, but he promptly served up a two-run homer to Juan Soto and then an RBI single to Brian Dozier to make things interesting. The right-hander now has a bloated 10.50 ERA in six innings since the All-Star break, and Jackson's days as closer could be numbered with Chris Martin (back) joining the Atlanta bullpen via trade.

Jackson (5-2) blew his seventh save of the season Friday but recorded the win in a 4-3 victory over the Nationals, giving up two runs on two hits in an inning of relief while striking out two.
EDGE Analysis
Called upon in the ninth inning to protect a 3-1 lead, Jackson instead served up a two-run homer to Victor Robles, only for Atlanta to walk it off in the bottom of the frame. Jackson now sports a 3.19 ERA and 66:18 K:BB through 48 innings, and despite his 17 saves on the year he remains a prime candidate to lose his spot as closer if Atlanta adds bullpen reinforcements at the trade deadline.

Jackson struck out two and allowed no hits and no walks through a scoreless ninth inning to record his 17th save in a 4-2 win over the Brewers.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson entered the game with a two-run lead and quickly slammed the door to nail down his 17th save of the season. While Jackson often allows baserunners and makes things interesting, the right-hander has earned saves in his last four appearances and has a 2.87 ERA with a 12.3 K/9 overall this season.

Jackson allowed one run on two hits and two walks while striking out one to earn his 16th save of the season in Saturday's 7-5 extra-inning win over the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
The Braves gave Jackson a three-run lead in the top of the tenth inning, but the closer made things interesting by loading the bases before striking out Padres pitcher Luis Perdomo to escape the jam. Jackson has allowed a run in each of his saves to start the second half of the season, pushing his ERA up to 2.93 for the year. The 27-year-old also has a 62:18 K:BB in 46 innings this season.

Jackson picked up the save Friday against the Padres after allowing one run, a hit and a walk with two strikeouts over one inning.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson gave up a leadoff walk to Manuel Margot, then punched out Greg Garcia and Fernando Tatis Jr. before allowing an RBI single to Eric Hosmer to make the score 5-3. Fortunately, that was the final run of the night for the Padres as Jackson got Manny Machado to ground out and end the game. The 27-year-old now owns a 2.80 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and 61:16 K:BB with 15 saves over 42 appearances.

Jackson gave up three hits and a walk through a scoreless inning to record his 14th save in a 4-3 win over the Marlins on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Jackson definitely made things interesting as he allowed three singles to start the ninth inning before an outfield assist by Charlie Culberson prevented the tying run from scoring. He went on to walk the next batter before finally finishing the game with a flyout to secure the save. Jackson has a 4-2 record with 14 saves and a 2.66 ERA through 40 appearances heading into the All-Star break.

Jackson (4-2) picked up the win in Friday's 1-0 victory over the Marlins, allowing one hit and striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.
EDGE Analysis
With a save chance no longer possible at home, Jackson entered a 0-0 tie in the ninth and promptly gave up a leadoff double to Jorge Alfaro, but the Atlanta closer settled down and didn't let him advance any further. He then got rewarded when Brian McCann came through with a bases-loaded walkoff single in the bottom of the frame. Jackson has hardly been a shutdown option at the back of the bullpen, blowing six save chances against 13 conversions, but his 59:14 K:BB through 43 innings does highlight his upside.

Jackson struck out two and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 13th save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Mets.
EDGE Analysis
The right-hander converted his third consecutive save opportunity and worked around a leadoff error by usually reliable first baseman Freddie Freeman. After walking J.D. Davis, he rallied to retire the next three batters. The 27-year-old has allowed just one earned run in his last eight appearances and overall has a 2.85 ERA and 1.22 WHIP to go along with a 57:13 K:BB.
