Severino allowed a run on seven hits and a walk while striking out 10 in six innings during Friday's win over the Cubs. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Severino matched his season-high strikeout total during Friday's win, and he posted his fourth quality start in his last five outings. The right-hander threw 70 of 103 pitches for strikes, and the lone run he gave up came via a solo homer to Jason Heyward in the top of the fifth inning. However, Severino didn't get much run support from the Yankees' offense and was forced to settle for his second no-decision in his last four appearances. He projects to make his next start at home against the Rays on Thursday.

Severino (4-1) pitched seven scoreless, one-hit innings Saturday against the Tigers. He struck out 10, walked one and picked up the win.
EDGE Analysis
He was devastating with his slider, which generated whiffs on eight of 11 swings against (73 percent). Severino was topping out at 99 mph with his fastball and sitting 96.4 mph. He has 38 strikeouts in 31 innings over his last five starts and his season ERA is down to 2.95. Severino lines up for a home start against the Cubs next weekend.

Severino (3-1) took the loss, allowing four runs on two hits and two walks while striking out eight in 6.1 innings of a 4-2 loss Sunday in Tampa Bay.
EDGE Analysis
Through six innings, Severino allowed only two Rays to reach base, both on solo homers. In the seventh, the righty walked the first two batters before striking out Manuel Margot and being replaced. Both runners would come around to score as reliever Ron Marinaccio struggled with command. The 103 pitches by Severino were a season high and it was the third consecutive start where he pitched at least six innings. Through two months, the 28-year-old is putting up numbers very similar to his All-Star campaigns of 2017 and 2018. His next start will likely be next weekend against Detroit.

Severino struck out five in seven shutout innings while allowing eight hits and hitting two batters in a 5-0 loss Sunday against the White Sox. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Despite allowing 10 baserunners, Severino held the White Sox scoreless by getting out of a number of jams, including loading the bases with no outs in the fifth. It was his longest outing since 2018 and the fourth consecutive start where he's thrown more than 90 pitches. In May, he's allowed three earned runs or fewer in each start and has compiled a 2.78 ERA with a 24:5 K:BB in 22.2 innings. He'll likely make one more start before the end of the month, this weekend in Tampa Bay.

Severino (3-0) earned the win Monday after tossing six innings, surrendering one run on one hit and two walks while striking out seven against the Orioles.
EDGE Analysis
The only blemish on Severino's line came in the bottom of the fourth frame when Anthony Santander took him deep for a solo shot. He registered his first quality start of the season and has now won both times he's taken the mound against Baltimore this year. After registering 12 strikeouts over 16 innings his prior three starts, Severino now has 15 punchouts across 10.2 frames in his last two outings. Overall, the 28-year-old now owns a 3.63 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with 38 strikeouts over 34.2 innings in 2022.

Severino didn't factor into the decision in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays, giving up three runs on five hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
Things looked bad for the right-hander when Toronto grabbed a 3-0 lead by the top of the second inning, but Severino was able to settle down and keep the game close before exiting after 97 pitches (61 strikes). The eight whiffs were a season high for the 28-year-old, but he's worked past the fifth inning only once in six starts and is still looking for his first quality start of the campaign. Severino will carry a 4.08 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 31:9 K:BB through 28.2 frames into his next outing.

Severino yielded four runs (three earned) on seven hits and a walk over five innings in Sunday's win over the Royals. He struck out four and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Severino began the game with a pair of scoreless innings before Michael Taylor's leadoff home run to begin the third. The Royals would plate three runs in the inning followed by another in the fourth. Severino is still 2-0 on the year despite allowing eight runs (seven earned) over his last two outings. He'll carry a 3.75 ERA into his projected home outing next weekend against the Rangers.

Severino (2-0) earned the win after striking out five in six innings while allowing four runs on three hits and two walks in a 12-8 victory Tuesday over Baltimore.
EDGE Analysis
Severino efficiently retired the first 14 batters he faced and didn't allow a hit through the first five innings, needing just 62 pitches. After retiring the first batter in the sixth, he allowed a single, a walk and a three-run homer to cut the Yankees' lead in half. Following a leadoff double in the seventh, he was replaced. It was the first time since 2018 that he pitched six innings in a game. The Yankees have won all four of Severino's starts this year as he's compiled a 3.32 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 19 innings.

Severino did not factor into the decision Wednesday, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings against the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
The three strikeouts and nine baserunners don't look great, but Severino had 11 swinging strikes on 88 pitches and now sits with a 2.08 ERA through three starts this season. Perhaps most importantly, Severino's four-seam fastball velocity is back up north of 97 mph. He's throwing his slider far less than he used to, scaling back its usage in favor of more changeups and cutters.

Severino (1-0) struck out six in five shutout innings, allowing two hits and two walks in a 3-0 win Thursday against Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
Severino retired 11 of the last 12 batters he faced after pitching around trouble in the first and second innings. The 83 pitches were his most in an appearance since 2018. After missing the majority of the last three seasons, Thursday's start is quite promising for the two-time All-Star. His next start will likely be Wednesday in Detroit.
