Castillo has won three straight starts, allowing just three runs over 18.2 innings in July. The right-hander threw 66 of 100 pitches for strikes in this outing, which was his fifth scoreless performance of the campaign. Castillo has been in peak form in 2025 with a 3.21 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 100:36 K:BB through 115 innings over 20 starts. He's projected for a home start versus the Brewers next week.

Castillo (6-5) earned the win Friday, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over five innings while striking out six in the 12-3 victory over the Tigers.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo shined early, yielding just one earned run through the first five innings before running into trouble opening the sixth, allowing back-to-back hits and another run before being removed with a runner on third. The 32-year-old entered the matchup coming off his best start of the season and has now posted a 3.60 ERA with 33 strikeouts and 11 walks over his last six outings.

Castillo (5-5) picked up the win Saturday against the Pirates, striking out eight and giving up just two hits and no walks across seven scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
The eight punchouts are a season high for Castillo, who got back in the win column for the first time since May 19 against the White Sox. The veteran right-hander has seen his strikeout numbers take a dip in 2025 with a career-low 7.6 K/9, but he's still been plenty effective through 18 starts with a 3.31 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 103.1 innings.

Castillo didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Texas, allowing one run on seven hits and two walks with four strikeouts over six innings.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo pulled himself out of a rough patch Sunday, snaring a quality start and not allowing a home run. The 32-year-old had allowed 16 runs (14 earned) in 22 innings over his previous four starts. He gave up eight home runs during that stretch after having yielded merely four round trippers in his first 12 starts. On the year, Castillo owns a 3.55 ERA, and he's scheduled to face the Pirates next time out.

Castillo allowed five runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out three over five innings in Tuesday's win over the Twins. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo was staked a five-run lead in the third inning and gave it all right back. Kody Clemens took him deep in the third before the Twins would tack on four more runs in the fourth. Castillo has given up a home run in four consecutive outings and he's allowed at least seven hits in three of his last six starts. Castillo is winless since May 19 and will look to change that this weekend against the Rangers.

Castillo (4-5) took the loss Wednesday as the Mariners fell 3-1 to the Red Sox, giving up three runs on three hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
All the damage off Castillo came on balls that left the yard, as Marcelo Mayer launched a solo shot off the right-hander in the second inning before Trevor Story lofted a two-run homer in the fourth. It's the third straight start in which Castillo has been taken deep multiple times, a stunning regression after he's served up just one homer over his prior eight outings and 47 innings. He'll take a 3.38 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 72:28 K:BB through 85.1 innings into his next start, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Minnesota.

Castillo allowed two runs on three hits and three walks while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision Friday versus the Guardians.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo was able to limit the damage to back-to-back solo home runs by Nolan Jones and Steven Kwan in the third inning. After allowing just four homers in his first 12 starts of the year, Castillo has given up five long balls over his last two outings. On the positive side, Friday's effort was his eighth quality start, five of which have come over his last six games. Castillo has a 3.29 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 67:26 K:BB through 79.1 innings this season. The veteran right-hander is projected to make his next start at home versus the Red Sox.

Castillo (4-4) allowed six runs (four earned) on eight hits and struck out five without walking a batter over five innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo was able to limit the damage, as all three home runs he allowed were solo shots. However, the Angels' tying rally in the third inning yielded two unearned runs, and the Mariners failed to bounce back effectively after that. Prior to Saturday, Castillo had seemingly rounded into form with four straight quality starts, allowing just four runs over 25 innings in that stretch. He's now at a 3.31 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 60:23 K:BB over 73.1 innings through 13 starts, and he's given up seven homers this year. The 32-year-old is projected to make his next start at home versus the Guardians.

Castillo didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Minnesota, allowing four hits and two walks with five strikeouts over six scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
No runs were scored until the seventh inning of Sunday's contest, leaving Castillo without the victory despite the excellent outing. The 32-year-old has now logged four consecutive quality starts, and he owns a 1.44 ERA and a 22:5 K:BB during that stretch. While his strikeout rate is down from 9.0 K/9 in 2024 to 7.2 K/9 in 2025, Castillo holds a 3.03 ERA, which would be his best since 2022. He's expected to pitch next weekend against the Angels.

Castillo did not factor in the decision during Sunday's loss to Houston. He allowed three runs on nine hits and a walk over six innings while striking out six.
EDGE Analysis
Castillo coughed up a pair of runs in the third inning and one more in the sixth. He recorded his sixth quality start of the year and third in a row, but it wasn't a very efficient one. He threw a season-high 114 pitches (72 strikes) and worked around multiple threats. Castillo generated 14 whiffs, including eight with his fastball that averaged 96.4 mph. He's sporting a 3.32 ERA with a 50:21 K:BB through 62.1 frames. Castillo is lined up to face the Twins at home next weekend.
