Lucas Duda was scratched from Friday's Grapefruit League lineup due to what Mets manager Terry Collins referred to as a "small medical issue."
Collins added that the issue does not affect baseball. It sounds like Duda will be back in there Saturday.

Lucas Duda claimed the Golden Sombrero on Sunday and has opened the spring 0-for-7 with six strikeouts.
Duda has already been named the Mets' starting left fielder, even though he's terrible defensively and he hit a modest .239/.329/.389 last season in 401 at-bats last season. We don't have very high expectations.

Mets manager Terry Collins said Tuesday that Lucas Duda will "definitely" be the starting left fielder this season.
Duda is coming off a disappointing season in which he batted just .239/.329/.389 with 15 home runs in 121 games, but Collins still believes in his power potential. The 27-year-old required offseason surgery on his right wrist, but he's expected to be 100 percent by Opening Day. While the jury is still out on whether he'll hit enough to make up for his deficiencies on defense, he should have value in deeper mixed fantasy leagues.

Lucas Duda (wrist) faced live pitching on Monday at the Mets' spring training complex in Florida.
Duda is progressing nicely from wrist surgery and should be back near 100 percent health by Opening Day. The 26-year-old outfielder batted .239/.329/.389 with 15 homers and 57 RBI in 121 games last season for New York. He should be worth owning this year in deeper mixed leagues.

Lucas Duda (wrist) has begun hitting off a tee.
"It's going well, feels great," Duda said of his surgically-repaired right wrist. Duda, who fractured his wrist while moving furniture in his apartment, will be just fine for the start of spring training. The Mets are counting on the soon-to-be 27-year-old to be their left fielder in 2013.

Lucas Duda said Thursday that his surgically-repaired right wrist "feels great."
Duda is nearly two months removed from the operation but has already started throwing and plans to begin hitting in the next week or so. The 26-year-old will be 100 percent heading into spring training and is expected to be the Mets' left fielder in 2013.

The Mets announced that Lucas Duda underwent surgery on Monday to repair a fracture in his right wrist.
He sustained the injury while moving furniture. Already battling to secure a regular role on the 2013 Mets roster, this can't be good news for his outlook. No word yet on how much time he may miss.

Lucas Duda launched a three-run shot in the seventh inning on Friday, powering the Mets to a 3-1 victory over the Braves in Atlanta.
Duda finished the night 2-for-3 with a run scored and three RBI. Since his recall from Triple-A on August 26, the results haven't improved much, as he's hitting just .253 (20-for-79) with three homers and 13 RBI in 27 games. The 26-year-old will need to show more consistency if he wants to maintain a regular role in the 2013 squad.

Andy Martino of the New York Daily News was told by one Mets person that the team is open to trading either Lucas Duda or Ike Davis in the right deal.
Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reported early Tuesday that the Mets are considering dealing Davis during the offseason in order to clear the way for Duda at first base, but both players are on the table. Duda doesn't figure to have as much trade value as Davis, but the Mets could use him as a chip to improve their bullpen.

Mets recalled OF Lucas Duda from Triple-A Buffalo.
Manager Terry Collins said he expects to use Duda primarily in left field and in spot starts at first base. Duda batted just .260 with a .327 on-base percentage in 25 games during his demotion, but the Mets are hoping he'll add some power to their lineup.
