Morrison (heel) is in the lineup Monday against the Astros, batting cleanup and acting as the designated hitter, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The slugging first baseman missed the past three games due to a bruised heel, and although manager Kevin Cash is confident enough in his health to put him in the field, Morrison will at least get a chance to hit for the course of the whole game Monday. Look for him to return to full action at first base in the coming days, but in the meantime, Lucas Duda will play the field.

Rays manager Kevin Cash said that he expects Morrison (heel) to return to the lineup at first base either Monday or Tuesday against the Astros, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morrison was on the bench Sunday against the Yankees for the third straight game, but the team still isn't viewing his heel injury as a major concern. The recent addition of Lucas Duda will allow the Rays to deploy Morrison at designated hitter in the event he's limited in the field come Monday, so it seems Morrison will have a good chance at picking up something resembling a regular slate of at-bats during the upcoming week.

Morrison (heel) remains out of the lineup Sunday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morrison will be confined to the bench for a third straight game due to the heel injury, but with the Rays facing a second consecutive lefty starter in Jordan Montgomery, it's possible the 29-year-old would have sat out even at full strength. Trevor Plouffe will pick up the start at first base Sunday, though it seems like a good bet Morrison will return to action at some point during the team's four-game series with the Astros that begins Monday. Morrison was able to pinch hit in Saturday's contest, recording a base knock in his lone at-bat.

Morrison (heel) is out of the lineup again Saturday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
The bruised left heel will keep Morrison on the bench for a second straight game, and his status for Sunday's series finale is up in the air. While Morrison is just 1-for-21 over his last six games, he still has an OPS just south of .900 for the season. Even with Lucas Duda now on the team, Morrison should continue to play close to every day once healthy.

Morrison is dealing with a bruised heel, and is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Morrison could return as soon as Saturday, and should be considered day-to-day moving forward. But with Lucas Duda activated and on the squad, manager Kevin Cash could elect to give Morrison a little extra rest in the coming days. Duda will draw the start at first for Friday's contest, while batting fourth in the order. In the long term, the expectation is that Cash will give Morrison the majority of the starts at first while placing Duda at the DH spot.

Morrison is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Orioles, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although LoMo has been demolishing the ball in the month of July, he'll get the night off with lefty Wade Miley taking the hill for Baltimore. Trevor Plouffe will log a start at first base in his stead.

Morrison went 2-for-4 with a double and a run in Wednesday's 7-2 loss to the Athletics.
EDGE Analysis
The 29-year-old first baseman now has six extra-base hits in July following Wednesday's production, and his monthly line sits at an impressive .311/.436/.622. Morrison has also hit safely in four of the last five contests, notching a pair of multi-hit efforts and home runs during that stretch.

Morrison went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
The Home Run Derby snub displayed the power that he thought should've landed him in the competition, tying the game 2-2 with his 26th long ball of the season in the seventh inning. Morrison continues to blow his career .432 slugging percentage out of the water, as this effort has him up to .571 for the season.

Morrison went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 6-3 win over the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
After going hitless in his first game of the second half Friday, Morrison continued his season-long trend of knocking the cover off the ball Saturday. His 416-foot shot to center in the third plated Corey Dickerson and was his first round tripper since July 1 and pushed his career-best total to 25. The slugging infielder's .363 OBP is his best of any season outside of his initial major-league 62-game cup of coffee in 2010, while his .562 slugging percentage is the highest of his career.

Morrison went 3-for-4 with a double and a run in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Morrison shook off one of the toughest lefty-on-lefty matchups in baseball in the form of Chris Sale to produce his third multi-hit effort in his first four games of July. Despite receiving an All-Star snub, the veteran first baseman already has a career high in homers. Additionally, with 57 RBI, the 29-year-old is well on pace to blow past the high-water mark of 72 he established back in 2011.
