Wright (shoulder) is on track to throw a bullpen session Friday, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright threw off a mound earlier this week with the catcher moved up closer. That went well, so he's been cleared to throw a regular bullpen session Friday. Wright received a cortisone injection for his pitching shoulder in January, which has put him behind schedule to begin camp. It's not clear when he might be ready for spring games, but at this point Atlanta is hopeful he'll be part of its Opening Day rotation.

Wright (shoulder) played catch Tuesday, Justin Toscano of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright received a cortisone injection in January to help push through a bit of right shoulder discomfort and is currently behind the other pitchers at Atlanta's camp in Florida, but the expectation is that the 27-year-old will be ready for the beginning of the 2023 regular season. He broke out to the tune of a 21-5 record, 3.19 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 174:53 K:BB over 180.1 innings (30 starts) last year.

Wright (shoulder) told reporters on Monday that he expects to be ready for the start of the 2023 season, Mark Bowman of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Wright received a cortisone injection in January, and it put the right-hander behind schedule after it halted his normal offseason schedule. The 27-year-old won't be rushed, and Bowman notes that he likely won't make any starts during the first couple weeks of Grapefruit League action. Wright won a league-high 21 games for the Braves in 2022, and while fantasy managers will want to keep a close eye on his progress this spring, there's a good chance he's a strong option again for the 2023 campaign.

Wright (21-5) earned the win against the Mets on Saturday, allowing two runs on seven hits while striking out three and walking one over five innings.
EDGE Analysis
Wright picked up his league-leading 21st win Saturday, tossing 62 of 87 pitches for strikes. He limited the damage to just two runs despite allowing eight baserunners and only striking out three Mets batters. Atlanta seems to be limiting Wright's innings lately, as he has completed six innings once since Sept. 1. The righty now has a 3.19 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP.

Wright (20-5) gave up two earned runs on two hits and two walks while striking out six over 5.1 innings to earn the win in a 6-3 victory over the Phillies on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Wright held the Phillies scoreless into the sixth inning until Bryce Harper took him deep for a two-run shot. Nevertheless, Wright received enough run support and lasted long enough on 97 pitches to earn his 20th win of the season. Wright is the first MLB pitcher to reach 20 wins this year, and it appears that he may finish the season as the only hurler to reach that important milestone. He is tentatively expected to make his next start against the Mets.

Wright (19-5) allowed two runs on eight hits and one walk over six innings to earn the win over the Nationals on Monday. He struck out seven.
EDGE Analysis
Wright has been one of the biggest surprises of the season, and he made his layup at home against the Nats to continue his breakout campaign. No other pitcher in baseball has more than 17 wins, so Wright has a real shot to be the first and only pitcher to reach 20 wins in 2022. The right-hander has had a couple hiccups in the second half where you wouldn't expect them, but regardless he's 8-1 with a 3.60 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 10 starts since the All-Star break.

Wright (18-5) earned the win during Tuesday's 5-1 victory over San Francisco, allowing one run on three hits and three walks with four strikeouts in 5.1 innings.
EDGE Analysis
Wright surrendered one run on two hits in the first inning and loaded the bases in the second but proceeded to face the minimum over the next 10 batters and fell in line for his MLB-leading 18th victory when Atlanta took the lead in the third. It was a nice rebound from eight runs in four innings during his last start, though he's now issued three walks in consecutive starts after not doing so since June 29. Wright carries a 3.18 ERA into his next start, currently scheduled to come early next week against Washington.

Wright pitched four innings, giving up eight runs on five hits and three walks while hitting two batters and striking out four in Tuesday's win over the Athletics. He did not factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Wright had his worst performance of the season Tuesday, giving up a season-high eight runs and matching his shortest outing of the year. He surrendered two home runs after allowing one total in his previous four outings, all of which were quality starts as well. The poor performance raised Wright's ERA from 2.85 to 3.23 over 158.2 frames in 26 outings. He'll look to get back on track in his next start, which tentatively lines up for Monday at San Francisco.

Wright (17-5) earned the win over Colorado on Wednesday, allowing five hits and two walks while striking out six batters over seven scoreless innings.
EDGE Analysis
Wright completed seven scoreless frames for the second straight contest, and he consequently took over the major-league lead with his 17th victory. The right-hander allowed at least one baserunner in six of his seven frames but didn't give up any extra-base hits and was aided by a pair of double plays. Wright has enjoyed a breakthrough campaign, supplementing his league-best win total with a 2.85 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 150:43 K:BB over 154.2 innings.

Wright (16-5) picked up the win Wednesday, allowing two hits and a walk over seven scoreless innings in a 14-2 rout of the Pirates. He struck out eight.
EDGE Analysis
He only faced any kind of threat in the third inning after issuing a two-out walk followed by an Oneil Cruz single, but Kevin Newman lined out straight back to Wright to end the frame. The right-hander generated 15 swinging strikes among his 73 pitches en route to his third straight quality start and his seventh in his last eight outings. Wright will take a 2.99 ERA and 144:41 K:BB through 147.2 innings into his next start.
