Kiermaier is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Yankees, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old started Thursday against lefty David Price, but is out of the lineup Friday against CC Sabathia, on his birthday no less. Kiermaier is just 1-for-11 against southpaws so far this season. Brandon Guyer will man center field and bat second with Desmond Jennings returning to left field.

Kiermaier went 2-for-4 with a double, RBI and run scored in Wednesday's 7-3 loss to the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old has started to come on, now carrying a modest three-game hitting streak, with Wednesday's effort also serving as his first multi-hit effort since Apr. 4 versus the Blue Jays. Kiermaier is encouragingly hitting .364 (4-for-11) with a homer, RBI and two runs scored over the last three contests, providing what has been a rather punchless Rays offense so far with some badly-needed production.

Kiermaier's 10th-inning home run broke a scoreless tie and led the Rays to a 2-0 victory over the Red Sox on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
After falling behind right-hander Matt Barnes early, Kiermaier fouled off a few pitches before driving a 2-2 curveball deep into the right field seats. It was the 25-year-old's first homer of 2016, and just his second extra-base hit through 33 at-bats. The center fielder is off to a slow start, slashing just .182/.308/.303, but Tuesday's game-winning home run may be just what Kiermaier needs to get his 2016 campaign rolling.

Kiermaier (head) is back in the lineup for Sunday's game against the White Sox, Roger Mooney of the Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays ended up holding Kiermaier out of Saturday's game when he was forced to leave Friday's series opener after colliding with teammate Logan Forsythe. Though Kiermaier exited early, he passed all concussion tests and looks to be good to go after the day off. He'll occupy the eighth spot in the order Sunday and assume his usual duties in center field.

Kiermaier (head) is out of the lineup Saturday but will be available off the bench, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kiermaier was involved in a collision with Logan Forsythe on a fly ball Friday that forced both players out of the game. While neither player is in the lineup Saturday, they'll both be available off the bench, indicating that they're day-to-day. Brandon Guyer will take Kiermaier's post in center field Saturday.

Kiermaier said he went through standard concussion protocol after exiting Friday's game and said he feels fine and will be "good to go," MLB.com's Alyson Footer reports.
EDGE Analysis
He was involved in an outfield collision, but said his jaw took the impact in the collision, and suggested that he'll be good to go. That doesn't necessarily mean the Rays will run him out for Saturday's game, but he appears to have avoided a concussion and should be back in the lineup soon.

Kiermaier was knocked out of Friday's tilt with the White Sox following a collision after chasing a fly ball, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kiermaier collided with Logan Forsythe while both were chasing down a fly ball. The severity of the collision was enough to force each player to exit the game. Kiermaier has been replaced in the lineup by Corey Dickerson. Expect an update on his status when more information becomes available.

Kiermaier got on base all four times up Monday, knocking three singles, drawing a walk and driving in a run against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The Rays fell to 0-2, but you certainly couldn't pin that on their center fielder. Kiermaier's off to a nice start, and if he can improve his batting average from the twin .263 marks he's posted in his first two seasons, that could really make his combination of moderate power and decent speed play up. And at almost 26 years old, he's approaching what should be his power peak, although it's not exactly going to be Mount Everest.

Kiermaier is focused on becoming a better all-around player by significantly improving at the plate in 2016, Bill Chastain of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Already a stellar defensive player going into his third major league season, Kiermaier is striving to carry over the momentum he generated in the last seven weeks of the 2015 campaign. The 25-year-old Gold Glover produced a .311/.352/.480 line after Aug. 11, following a right thumb injury. "When the Mets came into town [in August] and I hurt my thumb, I was so much better from there on out," said Kiermaier. "I finally figured out what I want to do with my approach and my swing. "... The last two months of the season, I went with a less-is-more approach. I cut down on the strikeouts. I had much better at-bats and I was just so happy about how everything unfolded. I just told myself, 'I'm going to learn from this, what happened with my thumb. And I'm going to take this and use it for the rest of my career.' Anytime you can learn from something like that and use it to your advantage, it's going to help you." Kiermaier's overall .263/.298/.420 line in 2015--as well as his modest power numbers (10 home runs) and prowess on the basepaths (18 stolen bases)--could serve as a harbinger of greater success at the plate in 2016.
