Uribe is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Brewers. With a base knock Monday, Uribe extended his hitting streak to 13 games, but he's now set to sit for the third time in the team's last five games. Justin Turner will start at third base in his absence, and while Uribe is still the primary option, manager Don Mattingly seems intent on keeping Turner on his toes with semi-regular at-bats.

This is evolving into a bit of a timeshare at third base between Uribe and Turner, who had a great season as a supersub last year.

The 36-year-old Uribe is currently riding an eight-game hit streak, but that hasn't been enough for him to stay the everyday starter over the up-and-coming Guerrero.

Uribe is out of the lineup Thursday, Dodgers reporter Alanna Rizzo reports. Fantasy owners get their wish, at least for Thursday's game, as Alex Guerrero gets the start at third base. All indications are that Uribe will remain the primary third baseman for the Dodgers all season despite Guerrero's perceived advantage offensively.

After returning from a hamstring injury, Uribe drew the previous four starts at third base after returning to the lineup Saturday, sending Turner and the hot-hitting Alex Guerrero back into reserve roles. Uribe is off to a 6-for-28 (.214) start over his nine games this season.

Uribe (hamstring) will start Tuesday against the Mariners, Eric Stephen of True Blue LA reports. Alex Guerrero had six RBI in the two games Uribe was sidelines, but Guerrero will apparently return to the bench. Uribe has a .517 OPS in 14 PA's, so he'll probably need to show more at the plate soon if he is to hold off Guerrero.

However, he's likely an option to pinch hit again if needed. Alex Guerrero will start at the hot corner in his place again Monday.

Given his age and that he's no strange to hamstring injuries, the Dodgers' cautious approach with Uribe makes sense. Even if he's included in the lineup for Monday's series opener against the Mariners, it would hardly be surprising to see the veteran receive an extra day or two off over the course of the upcoming week.
