The deal would also include Braves utility infielder Alberto Callaspo, who was scratched from Monday's lineup against the Dodgers. A trade would likely give Uribe the opportunity for more at-bats, and with the two teams currently facing each other, it may make it easier to work things out quickly. Uribe has just 27 at-bats in May.

With Uribe posting just a .574 OPS on the season, Turner and Alex Guerrero appear in line to take over most reps at third base moving forward.
