Juan Rivera (hamstring) is not in Monday's lineup against the Rockies. Rivera grounded into a double-play as a pinch-hitter Saturday, but he hasn't started last Tuesday due to a strained left hamstring. He remains day-to-day. Tony Gwynn, Jr. will start in left field Monday and bat seventh against right-hander Juan Nicasio.

Juan Rivera (hamstring) is not in Friday's lineup against the Nationals. Rivera hasn't played since leaving Tuesday's game with a strained left hamstring. He's considered day-to-day right now, but the Dodgers could make a roster move if his condition doesn't improve over the weekend. Jerry Hairston, Jr. will start in left field Friday while James Loney starts at first base against the southpaw Ross Detwiler.

Juan Rivera (hamstring) expects to miss 2-3 days of action. Rivera had to leave Tuesday's game with a strained left hamstring, but it sounds like he'll avoid the DL. Jerry Hairston Jr. and Tony Gwynn Jr. should see some time in left field while Rivera is out.

Juan Rivera came out of Tuesday's game with a strained left hamstring and is day-to-day. James Loney replaced him at first base tonight. Jerry Hairston Jr. and Tony Gwynn Jr. could be in line for some extra playing time if Rivera lands on the DL.

Juan Rivera went 3-for-4 and drove in two of the Dodgers' four runs on Wednesday. Even though Andre Ethier has been crazy hot, Don Mattingly stuck with the plan and used Rivera in the cleanup spot against the lefty tonight. Rivera has gone 6-for-11 in three games batting fourth. He's 2-for-11 hitting lower in the order, as he does against righties.

Juan Rivera went 3-for-4 with a homer while driving in two runs Tuesday against the Padres. The veteran outfielder took Padres top pitching prospect Casey Kelly deep in the fourth inning for his fourth homer this spring. He also upped his average to .304, and he's driven in 10 runs. Rivera is expected to be the Dodgers' primary left fielder this season.

Juan Rivera doubled and homered in Monday's win over the Angels, plating four runs in the process. The home run was already Rivera's third of the spring. Set to make an absurd $4.5 million this season, Rivera should split time with Jerry Sands in left field, and could occasionally spell James Loney at first.

Dodgers signed OF Juan Rivera to a one-year, $4.5 million contract. He'll make $4 million guaranteed next season while the contract includes a $4 million club option for 2013 or a $500,000 buyout. It's a great deal for Rivera, who probably wouldn't have found a similar deal in free agency. The 33-year-old batted .273/.333/.406 with five homers, 46 RBI and a .740 OPS over 246 plate appearances with the Dodgers this season. As of now, he projects to share playing time with Jerry Sands in left field next season.
