Juan Rivera cranked a game-winning three-run homer in the eighth inning Tuesday against the Angels. Rivera took advantage of Angels manager Mike Scioscia's slow trigger-finger and Jerome Williams' fatigue in clearing the bases in a 2-2 game. Overall, Rivera was 2-for-4. Because of his inconsistent playing time, Rivera is only useful in NL-only leagues.

Juan Rivera (hamstring) will not be activated from the disabled list this weekend. Rivera was re-evaluated Friday in Colorado after playing four minor league rehab games. He'll either stay with the Dodgers through the weekend or play another rehab game or two. If all goes well, he'll be activated from the disabled list when the team begins a four-game series with the Phillies on Monday.

Juan Rivera (hamstring) will not be activated from the disabled list Friday as originally hoped. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said the outfielder was "sore" and "tentative" Wednesday in his first rehab game with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. The good news is that Rivera was back in the lineup Thursday for Rancho Cucamonga and homered in one of his four at-bats. It shouldn't be long before he's ready.

Juan Rivera (hamstring) went 1-for-4 with a home run Thursday in his latest minor league rehab game with High-A Rancho Cucamonga. Rivera also played first base and left field. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly indicated that the 33-year-old was a little sore after playing Wednesday, but this is a positive sign that he could be ready to return from the disabled list as soon as Friday.

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said that Juan Rivera (hamstring) sounded a little sore after playing his latest rehab game with High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. It was previously thought that Rivera would return from the disabled list Friday, but Mattingly isn't so sure, especially after Matt Kemp's recent setback. "We're not going to say he's coming to Colorado and ready to go first day," said Mattingly. "We need to be patient with Juan and make sure we are as sure as we can that he is ready to go."

Juan Rivera (hamstring) told Dylan Hernandez of the Los Angeles Times that he hopes to return from the disabled list this weekend. Rivera rested Tuesday after playing back-to-back rehab games with Triple-A Albuquerque and is expected to join High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. Barring any setbacks with his hamstring, the 33-year-old should rejoin the Dodgers at some point this weekend.

Juan Rivera (hamstring) is expected to begin a minor league rehab assignment in the next few days. Rivera was told earlier this month that his ruptured left hamstring tendon would need around two months of rehab. But he's well ahead of schedule and could return to the Dodgers' starting lineup within four weeks of the initial injury. The 33-year-old outfielder was hitting .247/.276/.358 with two home runs and 13 RBI.
