Hamilton was quiet in the first two games before coming alive tonight. It was his first three-RBI game since the 20-6 rout of the Twins back on July 25.

It might have been a little too much." Hamilton is riding a modest four-game hitting streak.

Josh Hamilton left Tuesday's game against the Angels in the eighth inning with back spasms. The good news is that his exit sounded precautionary. "It was tight and he told me not to go out there," said Hamilton. "I put some ice on it and it feels better. I've never had back spasms. I had spasms in my hip when I hurt it (last year), but not in my back. I expect to play." Consider him day-to-day, but there's a good chance he won't have to miss any time.

Josh Hamilton was 3-for-5 with a double, a home run and two runs scored in a win over the Angels on Tuesday. Hamilton entered the game having hit only one homer since July 20 and having collected just three extra-base hits this month (leading to an anemic .646 OPS in August). Despite his power struggles, he's gone hitless in just two of 14 games in August. He'll be fine.

Josh Hamilton was 2-for-4 with two runs scored in a win over the Athletics on Saturday. He entered Saturday's action with a .153 batting average in day games this season, so this was nice to see. Hamilton is batting .286 so far this month, though 12 out of his 14 hits are singles.
