Rickard (thumb) missed Thursday's game with the Yankees, and will get an X-ray on his thumb, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rickard was out of the lineup Thursday after playing through the injury during Wednesday's game. He apparently hurt the hand on a play against the wall, but stayed in the contest before sitting Thursday's series finale. Rickard will be considered day-to-day with the injury, and depending on the X-ray, he could be back on the field Friday against the Indians.

Richard injured his right thumb in Wednesday's game and is not in Thursday's lineup, MASN's Roch Kubatko reports.
EDGE Analysis
It is unclear how serious the thumb injury is, but the Orioles will have just one healthy bench player (Pedro Alvarez) for Thursday's game. Nolan Reimold will start in left field and lead off against lefty CC Sabathia. Rickard had been seeing pretty regular playing time lately, and is hitting over .300 since the start of June.

Rickard went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees.
EDGE Analysis
Rickard appears to be the primary beneficiary of Hyun Soo Kim's hamstring injury, as he has started four out of five games since the All-Star break. Kim figures to return next week, but for now Rickard is getting the most consistent playing time he has received since May. Baltimore's bats were quiet Tuesday, with Rickard accounting for two of the team's four hits. He has probably earned a start Wednesday and he figures to get most of the starts at least through the weekend.

Rickard went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and an RBI in Sunday's 12-5 rout of the Rays.
EDGE Analysis
His playing time has dwindled in June as Hyun Soo KIm has assumed a larger role but Rickard is still producing when he gets into the lineup, hitting .341 (15-for-44) on the month with nine runs.

Rickard is back in the lineup Monday against Texas, Eddie Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rickard got the day off in Sunday's series finale against Toronto, but he'll return to the lineup in right field Monday. Rickard will bat second in the order against Rangers' starter Derek Holland.

Rickard is out of the lineup Sunday against the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
With four starts in the Orioles' preceding five games, Rickard has started to cut back into Hyun Soo Kim's playing time in the corner outfield, largely on the strength of his sound hitting. During that five-game stretch, Rickard has gone 5-for-14 and has scored two runs to go with a stolen base. While Kim will garner the start Sunday, Rickard's recent surge could result in the two players splitting duties in left field for the time being, though Kim stands to see the larger share of at-bats due to his left-handedness.

Rickard went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and two runs scored in Saturday's 11-6 loss to the Blue Jays.
EDGE Analysis
The 25-year-old was part of a two-homer fifth inning for the Orioles, who also saw Chris Davis go deep two hitters after Rickard. It was a badly needed bright spot for the young outfielder, who'd come in to Saturday with just two hits over his previous 20 at-bats. The multi-hit effort was Rickard's first since May 20, which also had marked the date of his most recent homer. His average has dropped 35 points since May 8, but perhaps the breakout performance will be what he needs to kickstart his production.

Rickard is in Baltimore's lineup batting second Monday against the Royals, MASN Sports reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Orioles have dedicated Hyun Soo Kim to start against right-handers, which has all but killed Rickard's playing time recently. Rickard started against C.C. Sabathia Sunday and gets the start against Danny Duffy Monday. The Orioles face J.A. Happ Friday, but that is the only left-hander slated to start against the club through Sunday. Rickard is just 2-for-15 -- both singles -- since May 25.

Rickard is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.
EDGE Analysis
Hyun Soo Kim will get another start in left field Wednesday as manager Buck Showalter continues to favor Kim's recent offensive surge to Rickard's sharp decline. Rickard has just seven hits in his last 40 at-bats (.175), so if he fails to turn things around and Kim remains hot at the plate, he could find himself in a diminished role.

Rickard is out of the lineup Sunday against the Indians, Eduardo Encina of the Baltimore Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
With Rickard's on-base percentage plummeting in May, the Rule 5 pickup has begun to lose his grip on a regular starting role in the outfield. The hot-hitting Hyun Soo Kim will make his fifth consecutive start Sunday, and Rickard may be forced to settle for a part-time role going forward if Kim continues to excel near the top of the order.
