Panik (elbow) is back in the lineup for Monday's game against Diamondbacks, playing second base and batting second, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Panik is back in action after sitting out Sunday's contest with a sore right elbow. The 26-year-old, who is hitting an impressive .406/.461/.565 in 19 games this month, will face Zack Godley in his return to the lineup.

Panik -- who is not in the lineup Sunday against the Dodgers -- is dealing with a sore right elbow, Andrew Baggarly of The San Jose Mercury News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Panik was struck on his right elbow during an at-bat in Saturday's contest and was subsequently withheld from the starting lineup Sunday and he's dealing with some lingering soreness. We'll have to wait and see if he's able to suit up for Monday's game against the Diamondbacks.

Panik is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
Panik has been on a tear during the month of September -- slashing .406/.461/.565 over 69 at-bats -- but he'll be given a well-earned day off against Clayton Kershaw and the Dodgers. The second baseman should be back in the lineup Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Panik went 3-for-4 with a single, a double, a triple, an RBI and two runs against the Rockies on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Panik now has his batting average up to .291 on the strength of a 16-game hot streak that's seen him go an eye-popping 27-for-57 (.474) at the dish. He has only modest power and minimal speed, though, so Panik is rather one-dimensional as fantasy assets go. The fact that the homer was what he missed in his bid to hit for the cycle says a lot about the package he brings to the table.

Panik is out of Wednesday's lineup against the Dodgers, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.
EDGE Analysis
He is red hot at the plate, hitting .442/.489/.605 with one home run and just three strikeouts in 43 at-bats this month. Nonetheless, he takes a seat in favor Kelby Tomlinson, who starts at second base and will hit eighth against Yu Darvish.

Panik collected three hits (all singles) in five plate appearances Tuesday against the Dodgers.
EDGE Analysis
One of Panik's three hits was against one of the best southpaws in the game, Clayton Kershaw, which is no easy feat for fellow left-handed batters. The 26-year-old has cooled off after his historic series at Coors Field last week, but he is still providing value with a .286/.346/.422 slash line while batting second for the Giants.

Panik stayed red-hot Wednesday, going 5-for-6 with two doubles, two RBI and a trio of runs scored in a win over Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
The 26-year-old tied an MLB record for hits in a three-game series with 12 base knocks in Colorado. It would be easy to write this off as a hitter benefiting from the "Coors effect," and while that may ultimately be the case, it is worth noting that Panik was advised by hitting coach Hensley Meulens to choke up on his bat to shorten his swing prior to the series, according to Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area. How the second baseman performs against the White Sox this weekend will prove whether his record-tying performance was truly a breakthrough or simply a mirage.

Panik went 4-for-5 with a double and an RBI in Tuesday's 9-6 loss to Colorado.
EDGE Analysis
Panik has turned things around at the plate with seven hits in his past two games after going 2-for-18 over his previous five. He's not the first hitter to catch fire at Coors Field, so be prepared for a decline after this three-game set concludes Wednesday.

Panik went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Monday's loss to the Rockies.
EDGE Analysis
Panik went deep in his first at-bat of the contest and went on to add a pair of hits to round out a solid day at the dish. The 26-year-old is showing no ill effects of the concussion that sidelined him last month, contributing three homers and a .278 batting average since returning Aug. 25. Panik has reached the 10-homer mark in consecutive seasons, affirming himself as a middle-infield option in deeper formats.

Panik went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs scored in Tuesday's loss to San Diego.
EDGE Analysis
Panik has now homered in consecutive games. The light-hitting second baseman generally doesn't provide much power (nine homers in 459 plate appearances), but he appears to be heating up and could be worth a flyer for owners in need of a middle infielder down the stretch.
