The Blue Jays will make a decision on what to do with Jesse Litsch (shoulder) following his rehab start with Triple-A Las Vegas Sunday. That's assuming he gets up to the vicinity of the 95 pitches he's scheduled to throw. Litsch is not guaranteed a spot back in the Blue Jays rotation, with manager John Farrell saying the decision will be based on "whether there's an opening or the need to make a change." Litsch held a 4.66 ERA over eight starts before landing on the DL back in mid-May.

Jesse Litsch (shoulder) will make one more rehab start for Double-A New Hampshire before moving up to Triple-A Las Vegas for his next outing. We would figure that if the two outings go well, Litsch will be ready to rejoin the Blue Jays' rotation, as he'll have made four rehab starts. He's been out since mid-May with a shoulder impingement.

Blue Jays manager John Farrell said Monday that Jesse Litsch (shoulder) will need at least two more rehab starts before returning from the disabled list. Litsch made his second rehab start last Thursday with Double-A New Hampshire, fanning three over 3 2/3 scoreless innings. He threw 53 pitches in the outing, so the Jays would like him to get back to the 85-90 range before activating him from the disabled list. The 26-year-old right-hander had a 4.66 ERA over his first eight starts before going on the disabled list with a shoulder impingement on May 19.

Jesse Litsch (shoulder) is scheduled to make his next minor league rehab start Thursday with Double-A New Hampshire. Litsch allowed three runs over two innings in his first rehab start with Class A Lansing on Saturday. The important part is that he is feeling healthy, but the Jays will obviously want to see better results before activating him from the disabled list. The 26-year-old right-hander has been sidelined since May 19 with a shoulder impingement.
