Eickhoff was removed from Wednesday's contest against the Braves with a trainer in the third inning after an apparent drop in velocity, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Although it wasn't obvious as to what was plaguing Eickhoff, the fact that he left with a trainer, and experienced a dip in velocity, is concerning to say the least. Over the course of the season, the right-hander has been losing heat on his fastball, as it had dropped from 91 mph in April/May, to below 90 in August, while averaging about 88 during Wednesday's brief time on the mound, per The Morning Call's Stephen Gross. Jesen Therrien entered the game in his place, while further updates regarding Eickhoff's condition are sure to appear before the end of the game. During two-plus innings on the rubber against the Braves, Eickhoff gave up five runs on six hits.

Eickhoff (4-7) allowed one run on five hits and three walks while striking out eight across five innings to earn the victory Friday against the Cubs.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff gave up a solo homer to Kyle Schwarber in the first inning before silencing the Cubs' bats over his final four innings, leading to his fourth victory of the campaign. He's held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in five of his last seven outings, and although his 4.46 ERA looks bad, he's lowered it from 5.22 over his past 10 outings, and he's become a decent fantasy option. He'll make his next start Wednesday against the Braves.

Eickhoff will have his next start pushed back to Friday, Jim Salisbury of CSN Philadelphia reports.
EDGE Analysis
Jake Thompson will be called up to start Thursday, allowing Eickhoff, whose fastball velocity has dipped a bit this month, to have an extra day between starts. GM Matt Klentak said Eickhoff is healthy despite the drop in velocity, and believes the righty can still be an effective pitcher with a velocity drop when he is locating and changing speeds.

Eickhoff allowed four runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out three over 4.2 innings in a no-decision against the Giants on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
Manager Pete Mackanin pulled Eickhoff from a tie game with one out to go in the fifth after 91 pitches, and that cost Eickhoff the win as the Phillies exploded for seven runs in the sixth. Eickhoff has been holding his own since the All-Star break -- he had a 3.63 ERA in six second-half starts coming into Saturday -- but he's been inefficient in his last couple outings. He will look to go a bit deeper into the game next week against the Marlins.

Eickhoff allowed two runs (one earned) on five hits and three walks and five strikeouts over five innings in a no-decision Monday against the Padres.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff has been steady in recent weeks, as he has now gone five straight starts without allowing more than three runs, a stretch in which he has gone 2-0. The major limiting factor for Eickhoff's fantasy value is his inability to go deep into games, largely due to his poor control. He walked three batters and has walked 12 in his past 28.2 innings, and until he can find a way to tighten things up, he'll keep running into high pitch counts like the 92 he threw in just five innings Monday night.

Eickhoff (3-7) allowed two runs on nine hits while striking out six without a walk over 6.2 innings in Wednesday's win over the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff has turned his season around, winning each of his past three decisions after an 0-7 start. The right-hander displayed his best control of the season in this one, issuing no free passes for just the second time in 20 starts while coming two strikeouts short of matching his season high. He'll have a terrific opportunity to keep building momentum in his next start Monday, which comes on the road against the league-worst Padres offense.

Eickhoff (2-7) gave up three runs on three hits and four walks while fanning five over the course of six innings during Thursday's no-decision against the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
After allowing a first-inning two-run home run to Mike Trout, the right-hander settled down and delivered another solid performance from the mound. Since coming off the disabled list (back) July 9, Eickhoff has given the Phillies four good outings in five opportunities. He has now amassed over 100 innings this season, posting a 4.56 ERA and 1.46 WHIP. The greatest discrepancies for Eickhoff in terms of separating 2016 from this year's campaign is walk rate and BABIP. The 27-year-old's BB/9 has doubled from 1.9 to 3.8, while his BABIP is .324, nearly 40 points higher than his mark last year. Looking ahead, Eickhoff's next projected start figures to come against the Braves on Wednesday.

Eickhoff (2-7) allowed three runs, one of which was earned, on five hits and three walks while striking out three over five innings, but received no decision Saturday against the Braves.
EDGE Analysis
Eickhoff allowed a pair of runs in the first inning before leaving the game with a 3-1 deficit, but the offense scored in the ninth inning to take him off the hook for a potential loss. He's held opponents to two or fewer earned runs in four of his last five starts, and despite a 4.56 ERA, he's been a solid fantasy option during that stretch. He'll make his next start Thursday against the Angels.

Eickhoff (2-7) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six batters through six innings during Sunday's win over Milwaukee.
EDGE Analysis
This was another strong outing from Eickhoff, but unfortunately, the 27-year-old righty has mixed in too many duds to be a reliable asset in the majority of fantasy settings. He sports a mediocre 4.71 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and 8.4 K/9 for the year, so it's probably best to avoid Eickhoff outside of favorable matchups moving forward. He projects to face the Braves at Citizens Bank Park in his next start.

Eickhoff allowed five runs on six hits and four walks while striking out eight batters through six innings during Monday's loss to Miami. He didn't factor into the decision.
EDGE Analysis
This was a disappointing followup to Eickhoff's best outing -- and first win -- of the season. Albeit, the eight strikeouts softened the blow. Still, the 27-year-old righty sports an underwhelming 4.83 ERA and 1.52 WHIP for the season, and his 4.34 FIP doesn't suggest there are sunnier stretches ahead this summer. A home start against the Brewers is up next for Eickhoff.
