Taillon (2-4) earned the win Tuesday against the Pirates, allowing three runs on six hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon won his second consecutive start, going six innings while tossing 95 pitches in his longest outing of the season. After going 0-3 with an ugly 8.04 ERA in his first eight outings, the 31-year-old veteran has made modest improvements in the month of June, going 2-1 with a 4.24 ERA over three starts. The results are certainly not what the Cubs expected after signing Taillon to a four-year, $68 million deal in the offseason.

Taillon (1-4) allowed four runs on five hits and four walks while striking out five over 5.1 innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Angels.
EDGE Analysis
Mike Trout and Luis Rengifo each hit solo home runs off Taillon, making this the third time in 10 starts he's allowed multiple homers. He stayed in to begin the sixth inning but faded as the Angels established a lead, and the Cubs couldn't bounce back. Taillon has allowed at least four runs in five of his last six outings, and he's still yet to complete six innings in any appearance. He's at a 7.02 ERA, 1.54 WHIP and 40:15 K:BB through 42.1 innings. Taillon is projected for a home start versus the Pirates next week.

Taillon (1-3) allowed one run on three hits across 5.2 innings to earn the win Friday against the Padres. He had no walks and struck out three.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon finally earned his first win with the Cubs after joining the team in the offseason on a four-year, $68 million deal. The righty did miss some time with a groin injury, so perhaps he could round into form now that he appears to be fully healthy. Taillon's 7.05 ERA still looks ugly overall, and he's yet to complete six innings in a game. He'll look to build on this positive outing and possibly go a bit deeper in his next start, which should come in the middle of next week against the Angels on the road.

Taillon allowed four runs on six hits across 4.2 innings and did not factor into the decision Saturday against the Reds. He walked one and struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
For the fifth straight start, Taillon failed to complete five innings, and he's allowed four earned runs or more in four consecutive outings. That explains the righty's 8.04 ERA overall, as he's never really gotten going for his new team after posting a 3.91 ERA last season with the Yankees. Taillon will look to turn things around when he takes the mound again, which will likely be Friday against the Padres on the road.

Taillon (0-3) took the loss Saturday, allowing eight runs (six earned) on six hits and three walks over 2.1 innings against the Phillies. He struck out one.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon served up a season-high six earned runs and has given up multiple runs in four straight outings since returning from the injured list. During that stretch, he's surrendered more runs (19) than innings pitched (12.2) and has an 11:6 K:BB. If he continues on this trend, another stint on the injured list may be in the cards, but for now, he's projected to pitch again during the finale of a three-game set versus the Mets.

Taillon allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.2 innings in Monday's loss to Houston. He struck out one and did not factor in the decision.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon got off to a rocky start Monday, yielding all four runs in the first inning. He gave up five hits in the frame, including a two-run double by Jose Abreu. Taillon then settled in for 3.2 scoreless innings to limit the damage. His ERA jumped to 6.66 with a 26:7 K:BB through 24.1 frames. He's projected to take the mound in Philadelphia this weekend.

Taillon allowed four runs on five hits across 2.2 innings and did not factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cardinals. He walked two and struck out five.
EDGE Analysis
The five strikeouts are the only positive here, as Taillon otherwise struggled mightily before getting pulled after tossing 69 pitches. The righty has gone a total of 5.2 innings in two starts since returning from the injured list May 4, and his ERA now sits at an ugly 6.41. This certainly isn't what the Cubs had in mind when they paid Taillon $68 million over four years in the offseason. He'll look to get on track in his next start, which should come early next week against Houston.

Taillon didn't factor in the decision during Thursday's loss to the Nationals after he allowed three runs on three hits and no walks over three innings. He struck out four.
EDGE Analysis
The 31-year-old was sidelined the past couple weeks by a groin strain, but he rejoined Chicago's rotation Thursday and threw just 42 pitches. The only damage against him came via a three-run homer by Lane Thomas during the second inning. Taillon returned from the injured list without a minor-league rehab assignment, so he should remain on a limited workload for his next couple starts as he builds back up his arm.

Taillon (groin) was activated from the 15-day injured list by the Cubs on Thursday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taillon will rejoin the Cubs' rotation Thursday versus the Nationals after missing the last two weeks with a strained left groin. The big right-hander will be skipping a rehab assignment, so it's possible he won't be ready for a full workload.

Taillon (groin) will be activated from the 15-day injured list and start Thursday against the Nationals, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Cubs manager David Ross dismissed the idea of a Thursday return for Taillon on Monday, but seems to have changed his mind. The 31-year-old righty will skip a rehab stint and make his first appearance since landing on the injured list with a left groin strain April 20. Taillon holds a 4.50 ERA and 1.36 WHIP through 14 innings this season.
